Cockroaches in the lobby and rooms. Bad odour emitting within the building. Manager declined refund although key was returned and room was never checked into and they were made aware of the various issues found at the property.

Warning-Bed Bugs
My partner and I checked in for two nights. The morning after the first night my partner woke up with bites on his feet. We mentioned this to the front desk person who offered to give us fresh sheets. While we accepted the sheets we didn't think that would solve the problem. We put the sheets on top of the comforter, however I awoke the following morning and I had bites on my chest. I went down to the front desk and showed the bites to the staff member who again offered to give us fresh sheets. I asked for a refund and was told the accountant wasn't in and that they would call me the following day. I didn't receive a call, so I called and spoke with a staff member who said they had an exterminator come, but no bed bugs were found. The bites on my partner's foot and on my chest are very real and we didn't have them before sleeping at this hotel.

This hotel was the perfect location for where we spent our evenings. Very convenient. Room was good size, and the hotel was quiet.

The location of the hotel is excellent. When we arrived there were dirty towels on the bathroom floor. Management came right up and removed them and responsive to address our concerns. We stayed in room 204, which if you are light sleeper is right next to the road so road noise could be heard, although during middle of night fairly quiet. The temperature in the shower was not consistent with bouts of cold or hot water suddenly. Overall, we probably would stay here again due to the location to the proximity of the gay village.

Definitely a two star hotel on the original star scale. Old property not too well maintained. Very expensive for what you get. More motel than hotel. But its right next to a metro stop so convenient for a short stay.

Was hoping to be closer to Old Montreal, but metro stop fortunately was across the street. Area restaurants, etc. catered mainly to the neighborhood's university population. Room felt cramped with very dated furniture and bedding. Construction disrupted everything in the neighborhood during our stay. Bottom line: not quite the quaint little hotel we were expecting, but price was right and we got by.

The first assigned room --201--was very nice but there was brown water running down the wall to the sink. Smelled funky. Second room --404-- was OK. didn't have the fresh appearance of the first room or the nice view but was adequate. The staff was very helpful. The location was near to Metro lines. Parking $12 CDN was available about 5 minute walk away, No in/out but the proximity to public transportation did not allow that to be a problem.

Strong smell of gas in the main staircase. Staff refused to contact local utilities to get this checked out for a leak. Felt extremely unsafe. I checked out hours after checking in.
