Very lovely buildings, and the owners were so kind. The only thing to be mindful of is the bathrooms are communal, but cleaned daily. It's a great spot and such a beautiful area!

A great little find! So comfortable and cosy, and the we had everything we needed for a couple of nights away. The stars were beautiful from outside and inside the hut, bathing under the stars was lovely, and the photos and railway knickknacks just tied everything together.

A well aged puzzle piece bach, in NZ forest, tucked down a dead end road. Surprising amount of traffic on the road during our stay. Neighbours were quite noisy also but the bach had everything we needed. Hot water for a shower was a bonus. The old Shacklock range is prone to smoking out the bach but I think we figured it out after a few days. Reliable cell service is back at the Orwell Creek Road turnoff, for those wondering. Great location, but still felt like you were in the bush and isolated. The views from the upstairs bedroom were magic. House worked really well for our family group and the fire easily heated the place while it was wild and wet outside. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
