The staff was very nice and breakfast was great. It was so close to the Train Museum and we went on the Polar Express. They called for rain at the time we were going to be there and one of the staff ladies let us borrow a umbrella and we differently needed it. The bed sleep great and plenty of towels to use.

Homeless people sleeping next to property, lack of greeting of first night staff, key not working on both days, lack of food (1 biscuit). Food problem seemed to be related to large bused in group. But felt should have been prepared for this group. Teens were loud, but not unruly. But we had to leave without breakfast since there was no table available and food had been eaten. Otherwise, we loved the decorations and the staff on our second day was much more pleasant. First night staff just answered questions with one word answers. Never welcomed us. May need additional training on how to make guests feel when they enter the hotel.

I did not like the fact of a hold being placed on your card more than the cost to stay for one night because you live more than an hour away. Where my room was it was by a busy traffic area so it was noisy. Breakfast was mediocre.

Busy hotel, a lot of construction, transfer trucks, etc in the parking lot. I don’t have a problem with it but may not be child friendly. A little loud on the halls and elevators.

Awful experience.
I had a reservation confirmed well in advance for two rooms, but upon arrival, I was told that there was one only one room available without any notice! No call, no email—just only one available. After finding vacancies on another hotel far from there I asked the front desk to cancel the other room and he said that the other room had been canceled already, what makes me think they canceled the reservation altogether for both rooms in advance. The front desk staff was shockingly rude and unhelpful, showing no concern for the inconvenience caused. On top of that, the hotel itself was filthy. The lobby was not cleaned properly, almost dark, and dust on every surface. It was clear that cleanliness is not a priority there. Overall, an absolutely awful experience. I wouldn’t recommend Comfort Suites Salisbury I-85 to anyone, and I will never return. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere!

While the property is located conveniently close to restaurants and stores, it is also beside of a freeway. So there was constant traffic noise. The staff member that checked me in wasn’t very welcoming. He would just stare at me and not say anything as he checked me in. Other than that, my stay was comfortable.
