Honestly My Best Ship in a Storm
My husband took ill while we were on a cruise. He was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital ER. He didn’t get a room until 2:30am. I booked for that day with no idea if they could get me in early so I could sleep because I had been up 24+ hours. Although a room wasn’t readily available, someone checked out early. They got housekeeping in right away to clean. I was able to eat breakfast and get to my room and briefly sleep. Being in a strange country, where I knew no one, I had to rely on kindness from strangers. The people at the front desk were more than kind. They were outstanding! I felt safe. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was $11.00/day. It was excellent. So many food choices! And even better, was Bistro 77, the restaurant that was connected to their lobby. We had been on our 1st cruise where the food was supposed to be “the best.” But that food couldn’t hold a candle to the food at Bistro 77. I can’t thank the staff enough for their care. As it turns out, my husband was discharged after 2 days. He had a mini stroke. Mater Dei Hospital was extremely thorough.

I Absolutely Loved This Property! The employees were accommodating and Lovely. The restaurant, Bistro 77, served daily fresh seafood and each dish was made with Love. Honestly by the 11th day I was part of the family. On my next visit, I will definitely stay here again. FYI, I Am a manager at one of the best luxury hotels in the world, so yes, I Am bias, but I know what I Love.

Excellent condition of the hotel; clean and convenient. Good location with convenient shops nearby for food. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the man running the restaurant. However, would have preferred to have known to bring our own pool towels to use, and some more toiletries in the bathroom. Overall, very happy with my stay and experience - would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here, it had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Its a short distance from the airport and easy to find. Well connected for buses which ran regularly. We hired a car, parking all over malta is a nightmare but especially around this hotel, it was near a school and the university so we never attempted parking near the accommodation as there was never a space free. We found space approximately a 10 min walk away which suited us. The hotel was fairly quiet, we were on the 10th floor and our only complaint about our whole time there was being woken up daily by people above in the pool area, presumably workers setting up for the day. They made lots of noise, moving things around on the concrete floor which created sound right through into the bedroom we were in below. It wasn't a pleasant way to be woken up each morning. We used the gym which was clean, well equipped, the rooftop pool was also a nice addition but we never used it. The room was clean when we arrived and there's signs everywhere saying rooms are only cleaned after 8 days which we didn’t mind, they provide clean towels on request. The room was cleaned, and fresh bedding provided on day 8 but we left the next morning. We felt this was a little pointless for the housekeeping team having to do it all over again less than 24 hours later. Overall we would stay here again, preferably on a lower floor but it was centrally located and provided a good base to explore Malta.

Staff went above and beyond to help us out. Any query was solved immediately without hesitation. They opened the restaurant early for us so that we could catch our flight - the chef and bartender were amazing -incredible food and exceptional customer service. All receptionist were extremely helpful and made arrangements for us, helped with luggage, lets us use the facilities after checkout and made our entire stay enjoyable and stress free. Fantastic customer service all round!

Great property. Great staff and rooms. Lovely breakfast with lots of full English option. Only not scoring perfect as it required a little walk to get anywhere tourist. But you pay a lot less than you would which made the difference in Bolt Taxi prices. Would stay here again.

Not sound proofed as stated. You can hear the other rooms around you. Even after being moved because of the noise we were put into room 601. Do not use this room it is next to the electrical room it makes so much noise you can't hear yourself talking. The restaurant is very expensive. If you are looking for a peaceful and quite hotel this is not it. The staff are nice but they are limited on what they can do.

Good place to stay not far from Valetta
A decent hotel within easy walking distance of Msida inlet, and about 4km to Valetta. Our room was huge, as was the bathroom. Fridge and simple cooking facilities provided, good sized table, but bed was very hard, and more towel rails would be better.
