firstly when i arrived at skylight i was taken across the road to a different hotel (aifa residents) which i didn't expect, this place wasn't clean and the staff didn't have a clue! the room backed onto a major place of prayer and i would be woken by the singing at 5:00am! i would also be interrupted by the staff every few hours in the morning and evening so they could turn on a water pump that was located in my room
We reserved our three night stay at this hotel through CheapTicket.com with confirmation number. We went to the hotel at 9:30 P.M. and shocked to hear from the hotel manager at duty that he is not honoring our booking from the CheapTickets.com. The manager said if we pay him cash in Indian currency only then he will allow us to stay in the hotel. It was night time and we had our luggage with us, we did pay him 3600.00 in Indian currency. Hotel was not safe for emergency exit. The hotel had no telephone service and wifi in the room. The bathroom was so small and crummy that you barely stand in it.
We had notified to the CheapTickets.com and asked for the reimbursement of the dollar amount that we paid through our credit card but did not receive it yet.
There were too many mosquitos and they even do not have remote to set temperature for air conditioning. Room cleanliness is worst issue. Picture in site and actual condition are both oppostie.
This was the WORST HOTEL of my life. They put me in very small suffocating room where Air Conditioning was set at 25 degree C, but from time to time they shut it off electrically from main switch board and the manager argued that it was done as per the instruction of "technician". They shut off the wifi too at night. TV did not run and they tried but failed to fix it by hammering. There was no hot water in the bathroom. Hotel location was in a slum, noisy area. My time in this rat hole hotel was a total wastage. They nicely fooled www.hotel.com with false advertisement. I was the victim.
Arrived and had the unpleasant encounter to get a room on the gournd floor where it was smelling like gas everywhere. I was told it´s because of the mosquito spray or similar, but I´ve never smelled anything like this giving such a headache after 5 minutes. They switched me to another room on the ground floor, which was the same, so I asked to be changed to upstairs. Here they wanted to charge me extra, as the there were only rooms with AC, but obviously I was not inclinded to pay, since the first two rooms were impossible to stay in. I asked them to refund my stay so I could get another place then, which they refused. All in all a very bad experience, from customer service, to staff, the rooms itself and the location.
Staff were nice enough. Room was grubby and much smaller than the photo leads you to believe. Bring your own soap and towel and top sheet.
No information for tourist there. Staff pointed me in the way of the train station and that was all they could offer
I booked hotel through Expedia, they denied to accept the online payment! They were telling we don't have any tie up with expedia, and charged me 1000 Rs. I paid double, to hotel and expedia!
Very unpleasant stay.
When we arrived to the hotel, we were told that we dont have a reservation. We were told first that hotels.com is not working anymore, and then that the hotel is not taking reservations through hotels.com because hotels.com does not pay them anything. They said hotels.com will refund us the money. We were asked to pay again for the night. I went to internet through wifi and asked why is their hotel still available through hotels.com. I tried to get any room as I was very tired and said we could discuss this later and I would pay them if I had any info from hotels.com about refunding. Manager said there is no free rooms. We discussed some time and as a last thing I said I can call the police to help. Suddenly we had a free room and no more talk about paying anything.
The staff was not friendly and we generally did not have a good feeling about the hotel.
The room was small with no window (we were promised a view to the city), there was mosquitoes and the complimentary breakfast was two pieces of greasy toast with coffee.
