The Hotel Torbräu was a quaint and delightful hotel. We enjoyed its historic charm and it was in walking distance of the Christmas Markets. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful

We just loved this hotel for our Christmas markets trip. So convenient to Marienplatz. Safe and within walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

he hotel is in a great location, with beautiful rooms and convenient street parking. However, there are significant accessibility issues that need to be addressed. To access the elevator, guests must use stairs, which was shocking and inconvenient for us. My wife had recently undergone surgery, and despite the front desk staff seeing her condition, they did not inform us about this obstacle. We only discovered it upon approaching the elevator. The explanation given—that it’s an old hotel—is not an acceptable excuse. Additionally, we stayed in the nicest and largest room, but the shower drainage was faulty. After a short shower, the entire room flooded. I had to spend two hours draining the water with towels because no hotel staff was available to assist or fix the issue. That said, we did enjoy the Christmas market and appreciated the hotel’s proximity to lovely cafés and excellent shopping spots.

Overall, very nice. The only negatives involved the bathroom. The hairdryer would overheat quickly on the high setting and then quit altogether; and the shaving mirror fixture was loose and couldn’t be set in a useable position.

The room was fine and the bathtub was perfect. breakfast was average. The toiletries were nice and of high quality. The bar/restaurant was a huge disappointment as there was no hot food or "cooked" food available. You could get a sandwich "panini" and or cake but that was it! Front desk staff did nothing to go out of their way to help with anything. For the price, quite disaapointing.

Great brief stay.

Very comfortable and a great location!
We stayed in the junior suite and this place did not disappoint! The room was very comfortable. We particularly liked the different size pillows to choose from (we both like thinner feather pillows), so it made sure our sleep was just right. We were only about 3 blocks away from Marienplatz which was perfect. It was close enough to walk everywhere but just the right amount of distance away from the crowds. The bar was nice because it was not crowded and primarily only hotel guests. So it allowed us to escape the craziness of the Old Town bars and restaurants when we wanted to just chill. All of the staff were all very helpful and charming.

Great stay in Munich
We had a quick two nights in Munich. The hotel was well located, friendly and helpful front desk. Our bed was very comfortable. Be aware that you may have stairs to climb even with an elevator. Only wish they had offered tea in the room as i do not drink coffee.
