**History, charm, private dock, panoramic marsh views, walk to restaurants, on the bike path, includes passes to Huntington Beach State Park and Brookgreen Gardens**
The former home of one of the founding families of this famed fishing village and pioneers in transforming this area into the seafood capital of South Carolina, this historic cottage is steeped in vintage charm. From the expansive wrap-around lawn and dock, you can gaze out at the untouched and pristine Huntington Beach State Park.
We are conveniently located directly on the Waccamaw Neck Bikeway, an 18-mile multi-purpose path that trails through Huntington Beach State Park on its way to Pawleys Island. The Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, lined with seafood restaurants, is just 2 miles north. There are also two restaurants within very short walking distance of the house, Graham's Landing Seafood and Southern Hops Brewery. Huntington Beach State Park and Brookgreen Gardens are 1.5 miles south and both accessible along the bike path. A pass for Huntington Beach State Park and tickets to Brookgreen Gardens are included in your stay.
Our dock has a cozy seating area perfect for a morning cup of coffee, placing you in the middle of one of the most beautiful views in Murrells Inlet. The dock is also perfect for fishing, crabbing, and launching your canoe or kayak, but boat docking is not permitted. (Fishing and crabbing supplies, kayaks, and canoes are not provided.)
More about the history of the home:
In the 1950s, Clarence Morse opened the first oyster roast restaurant in Murrells Inlet a short distance away in what is now known as Morse Park Landing. Morse’s home has been maintained and restored, keeping its original design and feel. We are proud to be able to provide our guests the ability to enjoy the seafood capital of South Carolina, while staying under the same roof as one its legendary founders.
At its heart, Murrells Inlet remains a laid back fishing village and this is uniquely personified by Huntington View Inn. As the years pass by, the area around us has grown and become a busy place, but here time seems to be frozen. The land remains the same, our sandy banks unchanged, and inlet views unwavering.
