We had a very nice stay over thanksgiving. Family of 4. We cooked thanksgiving dinner in the room and enjoyed it looking at the ocean! The room was clean and a good enough size with plenty of sleeping space. We have stayed here multiple times and the kids really enjoy it. Close to shopping, food, and Broadway at the beach! We highly recommend this hotel!

Lazy River area was infested with bugs
We usually stay at Sandy Beach 4-5 times a year and everything is always superb. However this stay was different. The room was wonderful but with it being a holiday we came down to enjoy the pools as well, unfortunately there was a roach infestation by the pools. I notified the front desk the first night and they didn’t seem too concerned. The second night and third night was the same issue so we didn’t use the lazy river.

I’ll start with the good, the front desk staff was very nice and welcoming when we arrived. The view of the beach was also very nice. The bad, there was a roach we saw so we kept the lights on the remainder of our stay although we ended up checking out early. The room was very outdated and there was mold growing in the bathroom. The room was very musty and almost unbearable to breath without the balcony door open. The couch had stains all over it. We ended up cleaning the room ourselves but the musty smell never went away. For the price that’s what you can expect. Only good things are the front desk staff and the views. It’s also close walking distance from the pier and food places. Updating is definitely needed.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and overall i give it a 3 out of 5 because we had issues with our hot water for all 4 days and the very last day of our vacation, that's when the hot water fully kicked it. The front desk kept telling the managers the wrong room and one of the front desk had an attitude. My boyfriend kept asking about the hot water and they came and check but nothing was really done to fix it. I wish we had hot running water for our stay because it was either super cold or slightly warm!

OK, BUT.....
Everything was very nice with one big exception....hot water! Maybe it's because we were on the 11h floor, but there was very little hot water. Before a shower it has to run 10 minutes just to get warm...it was never really hot.

Location is convenient to airport and other local attractions, although not many dining options unless you have a rental vehicle to get around. Was not aware construction would be going on, so it was noisy during our stay. To their credit, its the off season, but I would have rather known in advance. Property is very clean, but sparse in the accommodations and decor. Time for a property update.
