This is a new Hilton brand but not a Hilton. It was a redone old days inn. When I booked I expected a top class Hilton with the Hilton vibe. My expectations set me up for disappointment.

I tried it based on reviews of how clean and updated the property was. The room I booked and paid for was not available. I got the last room available- smaller, directly behind reception and lobby. It was loud w every party coming in at all hours. The bed linens were clean and room was clean, but the age of the property was apparent with filthy moldy rug odors permeating the rooms and hallway. Failed experiment on my part, thankfully only one night.

I liked that this property was clean, quiet, and safe. The front desk employee helped me by getting a room closer to the parking lot, because I had senior citizens with me. I disliked nothing.

The staff was nice, the hotel was clean. The continental breakfast was good. Had a nice assortment. They were testing the fire alarm system when we were there. No one gave us notice about it. And then they were flushing the water system which turned our water black. Again they did not give us any notice. There should have been a message on our phone or a notice posted on the doors that they would be doing it that day.

It was our first time staying at Spark. The hallways were very dingy. Wet towels were laying in the hallway overnight. Our room had very little toilet paper in the room and no spare roll. The shower curtain smelled musty. Housekeeping came into our room at 9:30 without knocking. We weren’t ready to check out but just packed and left. Very disappointing for a Hilton property.

Accommodations were basic but clean. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t serviced at all during our 3 night stay because they had “ call outs” and were only able to do the room turnovers. Was awakened by barking dogs ( I think they probably awakened the entire second floor). Pillows were very flat and uncomfortable . Nice to have availability of a quick, simple breakfast.
