Welcome to the Blue Skies condo located in the desired Long Lake neighbourhood. This brand new short-term rental has 2 bedrooms fitted with queen beds and comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. The space features a bright open floor plan, contemporary finishings, and a spacious deck with mountain views. The suite has modern furniture and décor inspired by elements of the west coast. The condo is walking distance to the lake, close to shopping and all major amenities, and on a main bus route.

Welcome to the Blue Skies condo located in the desired Long Lake neighbourhood. The condo building is conveniently located near shops, restaurants, beaches and parks. The building overlooks the beautiful Long Lake, known for water activities such as rowing and kayaking; pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a beach day at the lake swimming with family and friends.

The suite has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests.

Primary bedroom: queen bed and ensuite with a glass enclosed shower.
Second bedroom: queen bed.
Both bedrooms are spacious and have ample closet space.
The beds are dressed in modern linens.

The second bathroom has a tub/shower combo.

The kitchen has quartz countertops, standard size stainless steel appliances, contemporary cabinetry and an Island. The island is the designated eating area but doubles as a work space. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining in.

The living room is bright and spacious and fitted with modern furniture and decor inspired by elements of the west coast.

Lakeview Terrace overlooks the beautiful Long Lake. With tranquil lakes, beautiful forests, and mountains extending into the distance, North Nanaimo is one of Vancouver Island hidden gems.

There is no A/C, however there are 3 tower fans
This is not a pet friendly suite
No smoking, vaping, or cannabis use in the suite, on the deck, or on the property
The building amenities are not available for guest to use
If the fob is lost, the guest will be responsible to pay $100 to replace

Great stay in north Nanaimo
We loved our stay at the blue skies property! Clean, quiet, well stocked property and a great location. Close to everything in north Nanaimo and easily accessible from many major roads. The only thing that made us give it one 4 star vs all 5 stars was the fact check-in was between 6pm-10pm, which wasn’t disclosed on the original listing. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue but since we were driving from AB and dealing with busy roads & ferries this meant we had only one ferry we could take to make it on time. Luckily, the ferry squeezed us on but the deadline to check in made the long drive and day much more stressful. Especially with no ferry reservations available. Had I known there was a deadline to check in, we likely wouldn’t have booked. Overall, a great stay!

Check in process flawed
We loved the condo, it was very clean and had everything we needed. The walk to the lake was less than five minutes. Unfortunately the check in was challenging. When we arrived we were given a number to call from the front door and no one answered. We tried multiple times, left a message and messaged through the VRBO APP. We never got a response. We finally found our own way in after about twenty minutes of waiting. We understand that things happen but to not hear back at all from the owner is disappointing.

Family Reunion
This location was perfect to be near family who live in Nanaimo. The condo was clean and well-equipped. It is quiet at night with comfortable beds and tower fans to keep the air moving on a still night. The Roku tv is a nice touch. Thank you fro a great two night stay. Aug 2023
