Holidays in Narin-Portnoo

Been struck down with a nasty case of the travel bug? Don't stress — we've got the perfect cure. Book a trip to Narin-Portnoo and you'll be feeling a hundred percent in no time!

It lies 220 kilometres to the northwest of Dublin, the capital city of Ireland.

Sitting 30 kilometres to the southwest, Silver Strand is a delightful spot to spend a little time scanning the horizon for ships. Bundoran Beach also boasts some incredible views. You'll find this inviting shoreline 40 kilometres to the southwest.

The serene sounds of the natural world await you at Slieve League. It sits just 25 kilometres away, so you won't have to be stuck in a car all day. Lough Derg, 45 kilometres away, is another popular option.

Make your way to Narin Beach and discover what there is to see and do. When you're done there, grab lunch and go to Lough Doon.

If you're thinking about expanding your horizons, journey 1 kilometre southwest to Naran. It's here you'll come across Tramore Beach and Assaranca Falls. We also suggest heading to Lettermacaward, 9 kilometres to the east, for Sandfield Pitch and Putt Course and the St Connells Cultural and Heritage Museum.

Take a day trip and see what's on offer in Ardara. This destination is 9 kilometres to the south and pretty close to Glengesh Pass, Owenea Bridge Standing Stone and Ardara Fort. That being said, don't miss the Stephen Bennett Studio Gallery and Dorlin Strand either.

There's no better way to understand a destination than to literally take a big bite out of it! You're invited to explore Donegal by indulging in some of its most tantalizing food and drink.

Typical cuisine here often includes mutton and pork, two regularly used ingredients for which the area is famous for serving up.

Don't miss your chance to tuck into Irish stew (lamb or mutton with potato, onion and parsley) or bacon and cabbage (pork back boiled with cabbage and potato). These classic dishes come highly recommended by the locals.

Dessert is always a good idea, so why not get stuck into some sweet seedcake loaf? It's worth every delicious calorie!

Feeling a little parched? Shout yourself a glass or two of Murphy’s Irish Stout, a beer that should be on your bucket (or pint) list.

If you've got the good luck to be in Narin-Portnoo on the 17th of March, get ready for some festivities! Saint Patrick's Day sees crowds of locals celebrating this auspicious date.

Time to go home? Watch the sunset for the last time in the beautiful Donegal region before you have to say goodbye.

Security checkpoints, long lines and delayed flights. Airports can be very stressful. Give yourself a bit of extra time to find Belfast International Airport (BFS). Situated 150 kilometres to the east, it's the nearest terminal.
