We stayed at Hotel Nikko Narita, and overall it was a very convenient choice, especially for an early morning flight.
The hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas illuminations, and when we visited, there was a lot of snow, which made the entire property feel magical. The hotel is quite large and has several shops and restaurants inside, which was very convenient.
While the building itself is older, it is well maintained and very clean. The breakfast restaurant was especially lovely—surrounded by glass windows, with snow outside when we were there. It was surprisingly beautiful and very photo-worthy.
The biggest advantage is location and convenience. For early flights from Narita, this hotel makes everything easy and stress-free.
One downside was the front desk service. The staff member we interacted with felt quite cold, and I would not describe the service as the typically warm or courteous Japanese hospitality. She seemed unhappy with her job, which affected the first impression.
That said, for comfort, cleanliness, atmosphere in winter, and airport convenience, this hotel does its job very well.
