The property was a slice of paradise in paradise. A lush palm filled private garden provides plenty of shade and relaxation just meters away from a bustling city street and the US Embassy. A quick walk to the beach, beach bars, and tourist restaurants. For the more adventurous, there are ample opportunities to explore. The house is in a prime location, close to forts, museums (pirates, art, culture, and history), a distillery (Watling's), and fancy restaurants (Cafe Matisse). The house is also close to a car rental agency (the rental agency will also provide a child seat!) and a grocery store with all the necessities. If you do rent a car don't miss the chance to explore the island and in particular the Clifton Heritage National Park.
If you are clever, you will skip the sunburned, overpriced, faux atmosphere of Paradise Island (ne Hog Island) and opt for a more local, albeit luxurious experience and stay in Nassau! You can always make a day trip if you want expensive nachos served to bratty tourists. If you stay in Nassau, then there is no better spot than here. Equally perfect for a family (we have a toddler), a romantic getaway, or even for outgoing adventurers.
