We stayed here for New Years! Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Coffee and store needs work. Stayed for 5 nights and expesso machine broke the whole time. Staff was slow or no one to make us coffee. Hotel is in a great place, easygoing and you can walk everywhere. One block from Bourbon Street. We felt safe and comfortable. Even with the tragedy on Bourbon Street. New Orleans went above and beyond with security. This hotel has character and we would stay here again.

Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel. The room was amazing. The only issue was the elevators were constantly backed up and there were long waiting times but that was really fine! Amazing place to stay and central to everything in the quarter.

Great base for your NOLA visit
Well located in for an enjoyable visit to explore New Orleans. Decor and rooms were lovely. Rooftop pool is heated & Gym is well equipped. Restaurant is not better than local establishments so we'd recommend getting out to explore nearby options! Easy walk to everywhere!

The Omni Royal Orleans has a historic charm and wonderful staff. The rooms could be updated - especially the bathroom and carpeting. During our stay, the fire alarms went off twice (8am and 9am), and the directional signage and emergency stairwell need to be more clear and updated. We were in town for New Year’s and were also surprised at the lack of communication during the tragic attack on Bourbon Street. No communication or check in process to account for guests or safety measures.

Property was unkept/ staff not kind- staff not helpful at all- concierge mislead us on our tour/ we signed up for rewards and were charge for our “complimentary drinks” when we confronted staff about this the reply we received was it was hotel policy and “nothing they could do” save yourself time and book somewhere else..

Weekend Stay in December
Overall my stay was good. I was taken back by how small a queen deluxe bathroom is but I made it work. My room was cleaned the first day but the 2nd day, I had to go to the front desk to ask if my room would be cleaned—they put in a request at that moment and my room still wasn’t cleaned. I was brought fresh towels but my bed was just “straightened” The room service tray with leftovers was still outside my room on the floor that night. The room itself smelled a bit old but I knew that would be the case with an older hotel. The room doors slam shut so I could hear my neighbors come in/out at any time. Walls are also a bit thin. Overall it’s a beautiful historic hotel that’s convenient to visit New Orleans French Quarter.
