Our room was perfectly clean. Very large, even for a studio. Stocked with everything we might have needed, extra towels, tissue and kitchen necessities. Bed was super comfortable, with lux pillows and linens. Security elevator required card to use, which was very comforting knowing that outsiders could not access hotel floors or lobby. We loved sitting on the 3rd floor outdoor patio, getting a Birdseye view of the streets below. Parking was not free, but worth the cost to know our vehicle was in a secure garage. We had access to street car pick up nearby, busses and taxi/Uber service. Canal street is just a short walk behind the hotel, so it was a great location! Most of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, would recommend to others and would stay again should we be in the area.

The room was surface clean but there were stains on the carpet and the bathroom flooring is coming up. It needs an update. The attendant at the desk was amazing - friendly, efficient and helpful. I think her name was Ashlen.

My stay was pleasant. I will say that I chose the Sonesta Suites because of convenience of travel between here and the Caesar’s Superdome to attend the Chris Brown concert. The walk was about 12 minutes. The room was had space, a nice kitchenette, utensils, cooking accessories, microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. This was very nice so that if you have leftovers you can efficiently heat them up again or if your wanted to cook. Which I did like this option. The only issues I found was although the bathtub wasn’t dirty it did have a few hairs in it. Due to moisture the kitchen cabinets were peeling a little. The king size bed was very comfortable. Would’ve been nice to have an extra separate small blanket to take into the living room. The continental breakfast was ok. But they need to get rid of the pancake machine. It would’ve been better to have 3 waffle stations, which would’ve been much quicker. The other issue I had was after I was informed on check in they were going to hold $100 for incidentals, they charged me $135 a day after and $89 a day after that, which were unexpected. I wasn’t informed at check in this was going to happen. When I approached management they couldn’t give me an explanation. They just said it would be returned a few days later. The thing is what if I need that money. They didn’t even try to see if they could just credit me back. Whereas other hotels would’ve done it. Overall the stay was as ok. I might come back. We’ll see.

We had a terrible experience at the Sonesta Downtown New Orleans with the exception of the front desk person Ashley! She was absolutely amazing! Our rooms on the other hand, were terrible. First room kitchen flood, towel rack fell off the wall when trying to get a towel, air conditioning did not work in one of bedroom. Maintenance came up to check all the items, said they would return left our hotel room door open for over an hour never returned. When we called was told they were canceling our room and placing us in another room. Six hours later nothing. After continuing our vacation and returning to the hotel Ashley was at the front got us in another room. That rooms television would turn off and on. Hotel room phones did not work. Just a really bad experience that hotel needs to work on and communication was horrible other than Ashley!

We enjoyed our stay. The staff and valet were super friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The place did have an odor in the halls and the walls were thin so you could hear other guests having fun. It didn’t bother us because people were just trying to have a good time. Bourbon st. Was literally walking distance and so was the superdome. If you want things extremely quiet I wouldn’t recommend but if you understand people having fun it’s a great place to stay. We traveled with our kids and we all had a good time. I would definitely stay here again.
