We had a wonderful stay, will definitely be back again. Price and convenience to the street car where the draw for us, we really enjoyed being away from all the noise of the French Quarter. My only complaint is the elevator broke during our stay, this is to be expected in an old hotel. Carrying our heavy suite cases down 3 flights of stairs was no fun at all.

Had asked for room to be cleaned with door message on Saturday morning and the room was never cleaned on Saturday. The elivator service went out for the last two days of our stay and we had to use the stairs.

Great stay!

Came to NOLA for the 1st time. We picked the St Charles Inn due to its location, away from the downtown area, & its proximity to the trolley system. We used the trolley system for our traveling around. Very convenient. Elevator was broke on our arrival reflected in the 4 stars for condition. Breakfast was basic but filled the need. Parking was secured behind locked gate. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was excellent. Wish bathroom was a bit larger but it’s an older hotel & it had what we needed. Great stay!

Old style charm

The Inn rating would have been excellent however the elevator was out and I have a bad knee and room was on 3rd floor. It was repaired promptly. Also across hall elderly couple had a dog and it was barking yelping at 5:00 am. In addition restaurant allowed owners with dogs to dine and once again this dog also had a loud continuous bark. Every staff member was outstanding and helpful they were all very cordial and would acknowledge you and greet you. I would definitely stay here again. I have stayed in various hotels mainly in the french quarters and surrounding towns but this Inn had a special charm.

This is our favorite hotel in NOLA. Very nice rooms and friendly/helpful staff. Parking is great; Also, continental breakfast is appreciated. Best bed for a good night's sleep.

staff were very pleasant & helpful. The elevator had been broken for weeks, yet we were not notified until arrival for our non-refundable room (shouldn’t we have reasonably been notified so we could cancel our room?). The carpets on stairs & hallways were never vacuumed over 4 days, despite visible debris on the carpet the day we arrived. Would not stay there again unless cleanliness becomes a higher priority.

The hotel is right next to the streetcar line which is very convenient. The rooms are nice and homey with a large bathroom and very comfortable beds! The breakfast items are limited, but it was nice sitting outside on the patio with our coffee and muffins watching the streetcars go by. I'd definitely stay there again when visiting NOLA!

I did not like because the elevator was broke. It was very inconvenient for my husband and I the carpet in the room was nasty and dirty. They had nets in the bathroom in the bedroom bugs crawling in the bedroom toilet stopped up, not flushing properly like it supposed to, no soap in the bathroom in the bathroom downstairs where you can wash your hands when you use after you use the bathroom lobby to wash your hands not enough room to park your car. Everything is full and is jammed up in. This is ridiculous.

Peacful and charming

Great stay. Out of the high traffic areas but close enough to grab a ride on the street car and go on an adventure. Very neat and comfortable hotel. Street car stop being near by and a gas station within walking distance was great. Easy check in and secure parking.
