You will feel right at home in this historic villa in New Orleans. With 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms spread across two floors, there is room to stay with your closest friends, family or colleagues. With a large chef's kitchen, extra long dining table and indoor grill, this is the perfect place to enjoy a few meals at home. The house is quietly tucked away behind large oak trees, yet close enough to all the action the city has to offer.

The Space:
Originally built in 1885, and fully renovated in 2018, the house will transport you into true New Orleans style with its original exposed fireplaces, restored wood floors, pocket doors, finishing with tall ceilings and windows for all the natural light.

The Neighborhood:
This beautiful home is just steps away from the historic St. Charles Streetcar to take you to the French Quarter, Warehouse District, or Audubon Park & Zoo. Take a walk over to thriving Magazine St. which is full of unique shops, cafes, antiques, and restaurants. Steps away is Coliseum Square Park, where you can enjoy the flowing fountains and lush trees. This park also offers shaded running trails for your exercise needs and Audubon Park offers a much longer course if that peaks your interest. Also conveniently located walking distance to the Central Business District, Smoothie King Center and the Superdome.

Getting Around:
The area is safe to walk around and has many bustling restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. Walk a few blocks towards St. Charles Ave. and you will find the historic streetcar, which can take you anywhere from the French Quarter to Audubon Park. Street parking is easy to find if you bring a rental car.

Uber and Lyft are very easy, convenient, and affordable options to get around without needing a rental car. There is also a New Orleans Blue Bike station every few blocks, allowing you to rent electric-assist bikes at $0.15 / minute to get wherever you'd like to go. Google New Orleans Blue BIkes and click on their map to see all of the exact locations.

MARDI GRAS: The home is only a couple blocks away from St. Charles Avenue where all of the most popular parades of Mardi Gras will roll through. This is one of the most convenient homes you'll ever find to be able to experience the thrill of Mardi Gras like a true local without having to worry about getting around town or finding a bathroom (a common issue people have when they have to travel to get to the parade route).

JAZZ FEST: This home is about a 15 minute drive / 5 miles away / 30 minute bike ride from Jazz Festival (The Fairgrounds), making this a very convenient spot to explore Jazz Fest during the day, but have some peace and quiet at night.

Best House in New Orleans!
This house was AMAZING and will be the reason that my friends and I return to New Orleans for another year (when we typically rotate which city we hold our annual gathering). Each room is filled with stylistic features cusotm to New Orleans culture, and some of the best trinkets you'll ever find. The cleanliness of the hosue was top notch; not a spec of dirt or dust anywhere. We used the hot tub each day to start and end our days. One of the best parts of this house were the beds - we felt like we were sleeping on clouds! Thick down comfortors, cozy pillows, and a mattress that you could sink into at the end of each day....we are all currently scouting to find that same bedding in our home cities!The host company, Metis, was fantastic and very responsive. They were excellent hosts! I can't recommend this house enough!
