For me, this was a perfect location... within walking distance of the conference center for my event, but far enough away to be clear of the worst of the conference/cruise ship traffic. Within walking distance of the French Quarter as well, and a brisk walk from Frenchtown, but just far enough away from the drunken revelry of Bourbon St. Some outstanding venues nearby... Emeril's, Compere Lapin, etc. The hotel has a gentille, subdued but not quiet vibe; rooms are well-appointed and quiet, common areas are active but not loud.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. We only had two things that we’d improve. One was a lack of lighting in our room. There were only two small bedside lamps, no overhead light. Found ourselves using the flashlight in our phones to see anything. The only other thing kind of disappointing was the lack of coffee and tea in the lobby.
