Excellent value, great location
I stay here regularly for business trips. The hotel is undergoing a renovation and the newer rooms are simple, elegant, spacious - a rarity in NYC - and clean. Excellent location and lovely views of the Empire State Building from the north-facing suites.

All I wanted was one quiet night's sleep and was only staying from 1:00 AM until check out at noon. I asked for the quietest room but it was VERY noisy outside from around 2:00 AM - 4:00 AM. Sounded like some sort of loading or unloading that went on forever. I finally fell asleep and then was woken at 8:45 AM by loud knocking on my door from Housekeeping even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. She continued to knock and yell at me until I forced her away. I told management and they said yeah sorry about that. Offered me nothing. Didn't even get what I was supposed to get as Expedia VIP benefit. You'd be crazy to stay here with so many better options around Manhattan.

This is a wonderful, smaller hotel and I will definitely stay there again. The staff was wonderful. We met the general manager and he was very nice and accommodating. The room had two queen beds and very large, which is unusual in New York City. I highly recommend the hotel.

Stayed one night after our voyage on Queen Mary 2. Close to Penn Station as we took Amtrak to Toronto. Close to MSG of course, Empire State bldg and subway stops. Very spacious, clean and modern. Excellent service. Photo is the view from room 1004!
