I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton, and my experience was a mix of positives and areas for improvement. One of the highlights of the hotel was the inviting and vibrant atmosphere in the lobby. It created a wonderful first impression and served as a great place to relax or meet with family and friends. Speaking of family, this hotel is particularly family-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable for everyone in our group. However, there were a few downsides to note. The room we stayed in felt quite small, which was a bit disappointing, especially when traveling with a group. Additionally, the location wasn't as convenient as we had hoped, making it somewhat challenging to explore nearby attractions. Lastly, some parts of the hotel could benefit from maintenance and updates, as a few things needed fixing during our stay. Overall, while there were some drawbacks, the hotel's family-friendly vibe and the pleasant lobby environment made up for certain shortcomings. With a few adjustments, this hotel has the potential to be an excellent choice for travelers.

Absolutely Worst Hotel

The service at this hotel horrible. Some of the most racist employees ive ever witnessed. The condition of the rooms is not good. We paid for a premium room and they tried to give us standard rooms. Check in starrs at 3 but our rooms were not ready till after 630pm. The restaurant staff was nice but the food was disgusting for 25.00. The geat in my room did not work and to fix the problem they provided a space heater and nothing else was done on the issue. If you get room 3617 dont expect heat or AC. The bedding amd towels are old and worn out and hard and with no heat, decent bedding would have been nice. I did ask to speak to a manager and never heard back from them. Roof top bar had nice views but it looked trashy with another bad attitude employee. Its tricky to get to only one side of the elevators have access and of the 2 one was always down. So one single elevator. The location is great but there were other hotels on the same street that could be better stays. Part of our trip experience was ruined with all the isuses we had. In toyal our group had 4 rooms and all of us had room issues, one even had restaurant charges that werent his but his room was changed so many times that could have been the problem. Coffee ran out at the to go side and they offered to sell the less than half a cup to us for 5.00. That was like umm what. No thanks keep it. I can't say it enough, this place was horrible. Bad hotel managers are setting a bad example for the staff and it shows.

Our rooms outlets didn’t work, so they bought an extension cord. The ac didn’t work had to call for that as well. I feel before you put someone in a room everything should be checked. Especially for the price we’re paying. I really enjoyed Cole he was very nice and super attentive to the requests we needed. The other blonde lady Jane was nice too. I felt like mark kind of had an attitude maybe it’s his demeanor idk. He tried. But it’s ok we stilll love mark!!! My friend jacket was also taken from our room. The staff could care less said house keeping probably took it on accident which maybe true, but they didn’t bother to contact house keeping. So overall if it wasn’t for the staff members I mention the whole experience would have been 1star shout out to those 3 they would be the only reason I stayed again.

Not what I expected

Don’t expect to check-in earlier than 3pm. One of the young ladies at the desk was rude when I attempted to ask a question. They will hold you bags complimentary until your room is ready. Music was way too loud in the lobby, Another guest came all the way to the lobby to say she went looking on 4 floors and couldn’t find any ice. Rooms were made daily and thankfully. This cannot be the DoubleTree Hilton Brand.

Staff was friendly, no complaints there. Here’s where they can improve: 1. There’s no sweep under the doors, so you can hear everything in the next room or in the hallway, you can see shadows of people walking…why there are no sweeps under the door, or why the doors aren’t closer to the ground, I have no idea. Terrible. I’m sure the whole floor heard me and my gf having fun at 3AM. 2. The shower leaked water out onto the floor and they could not fix it while I was there. Should have requested a new room but I had already unpacked. Had to put extra towels down right outside of the shower door so the whole floor wouldn’t be covered with an inch of water. 3. The iron put a nice black stain in my white t shirt. The bottom of the iron had tar or burn marks on it and I didn’t notice before ironing. I requested a new one and hotel staff quickly brought a new one in. 4. Outdoor bar is temporarily not in service, not a huge deal but maybe would have liked to have known that before booking. Rooftop is still open to go out and look around/smoke/drink but the only bar up there is indoors, and there was only 1 bartender…nice lady but, took a long time to make drinks…she needs some help. 5. Had to ask them to come vacuum the room after walking in…wasn’t like there was a used condom anywhere, but the room was not vacuumed at all and if it was, very poor job. I’m assuming it was overlooked because the staff seem like they work hard. Wouldn’t stay here again.
