Check in went well. Friendly staff. Room was small but fine for our needs. Great view from 36 floor. Bed was similar to a futon. It was fine since we were very tired when we got back to the room. Beware if you're on the 36 floor. The rooftop bar is on 37. Friday and Saturday there is very loud music until late, like until after 2am. Once again, we were so tired it didn't matter much but it could be a problem if you want to get to bed at a reasonable time and get up early. Loved the location! Subway entrance was just down the block so very easy to get around.

The property was a perfect location, just steps away from the Port Authority, and subway stops. We had quick access to amazing coffee shops (including the one next store), restaurants, pubs and sports bars, shopping, and all the typical tourist things to do/see in NYC. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We got those very delicious cookies every day. We both agreed we would stay here on our next trip to NYC, it offered everything we needed, and it was a lovely neighborhood. We came to town for the SF Forty-niners vs NY Giants football game. We were able to book a Megabus directly from the Port Authority right across the street for only $18 each roundtrip (plus service fee), which made it so very convenient. The only complaint that we have about our stay is not the fault of the hotel, but there is a kiosk for airport transfers in their lobby. The day before we left, we booked a shuttle to the airport for our flight home, but were told we had to pay extra because it was a private shuttle, meaning no one else was sharing the ride. To our surprise, the driver picked up a group of 5 other travelers to share the ride (not a big deal, but we were not refunded the extra cost we were told we had to pay), and there were signs posted inside the shuttle stating we would have to pay a minimum of $20 per person for a tip. Ridiculous, and we refused. Other travelers, beware of that setup!

I had a great experience. The only thing is that rooms are smaller than I thought. Other than that everything was good. It was clean and close to everything! Very convenient. I will totally stay here again.
