The staff was very professional but the rooms are very small. And although we had confirmed reservations for a king bed room we were assigned a double room.

Full disclosure I did not choose this hotel. And it’s a DoubleTree, not the Waldorf. I get it. But I’ve stayed in far better DoubleTrees. Not awful, not amazing. A bit run down and small rooms. I had a king and it’s fine for one person. Can’t imagine another in there too, like a spouse. Elevators are slow and because it’s a busy hotel, you may have to wait for the next one, so plan accordingly. Also, there is a weed dispensary right next door. So be prepared for the smell of people smoking weed and possibly a contact high. But hey, it’s New York, so you’re only in the room to sleep, right?

Staff was awesome, so nice. Room was clean and fairly spacious for NY. No loud noises or bad smells. The gym was really hot though, some A/C down there would be amazing. Also, why are there no mini fridges in the rooms?!
