Very accommodating but not comfortable.
We were able to check in early and everyone was very nice and accommodating. But we were supposed to have queen beds and the beds were NOT queens, and they were very uncomfortable. The shower soaked the bathroom.

On a scale of 1-5 = 3
The Hotel was in a good area. But for the price I think the could have done more. The rooms are slightly dated and can use a pick me up. The staff were ok but it was minimal interaction. Was I wowed or impressed, no it was a decent stay. I would have paid $100-$200 cheaper. Your paying for area but for the price I would have stayed actually in Times Square and probably would’ve been offered breakfast. Again not a bad stay but not wow either. I stayed 2 nights I don’t think I would want to stay more.

We were a little worried after reading reviews for the Empire Hotel. However, we LOVED our stay. Everyone at the hotel was kind and friendly. Our room was perfect. We had the two double bed, superior room. It was perfect for the family. The location is great too. We could have walked to most of the sights, but the weather was cold during our stay so we grabbed a car occasionally. It’s a block from our main event, which was the Nutcracker. It’s a block or two from Central Park. It was a short walk to Times Square and 5th Ave. All around, it was a wonderful NYC experience based out of the Empire Hotel.

The only thing you’re paying for is the location. Our room had mold on the walls, rusted appliances, saw a roach in our bathroom, and the rooms were very outdated. Our AC unit made loud noises all night and would shut off from time to time. They also don’t have a vending machine. Definitely will not be staying here again.
