Great location, friendly staff and comfortable room. No complaints! Can easily walk to Central Park, Times Square, broadway etc. and close to the subway. The lifts can be busy at times, but we were on the 3rd floor so mostly took the stairs anyway. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is dated. Elevators are slow, room very dark, heat difficult to adjust. The handle in the shower wouldn’t stay as adjusted. Staff is very welcoming

Great hotel and staff

It was in a great location, and the staff was wonderful. The only things that keep me from giving five stars across the board are that the heater was quite noisy and that, while we didn't request daily housekeeping service, it started happening anyway. Seemed kind of a waste.

Staff was great as well as the location. The problem was the elevators. Only 2 elevators for a 36 floor building was completely un acceptable. Prepare to wait 15 minutes for the elevator to arrive every time, rush hour or not.

Really liked the location and convenience of this hotel. Elevators were hard to get during peak hours so being able to take the stairs was helpful. Desk staff seemed a bit preoccupied when checking out. Room was nice and clean. Overall a good stay!

Great location, close to 3 subway stations, shopping, central park, theatre, dining and museums. Comfortable beds. Great having the fridge and microwave in the room, but not much storage room for suitcases etc. The hotel as a whole was average and staff interaction was very minimal and quite 'cool'. One elevator not working & the wait time for the other 2 could be up to 15 minutes.

Great Location!

Outstanding location!! Just off Broadway and behind the building for the Stephen Colbert Show. So many shops and easy to get food right by hotel. Felt safe. Beyond convenient to Central Park and Time Square. Room was small but it’s NYC - so it was good. Hooks and some narrow shelves on the wall would have been a nice addition to the room. Just need places to put our stuff. Bathroom is small. Need hooks on back of door. Loved having frig & microwave. Used both daily. Also liked the Keurig. Loved the pantry of snacks downstairs that came with our room. Elevator is used a lot - so it’s hard to get on - but we knew that. Management sent me a text for anything we might need. I texted twice and received a response and requested items super fast. Great pillows - just bought exact ones from Amazon! We used the hotel town car to return to JFK. Great ride. Cheaper than Uber. Great services. Maybe let customers know driver prefers cash. Luckily we scraped up enough. We would have prepared had we known. Overall, very pleased with our stay. Would stay again

Our stay was a disaster at the Hilton garden inn New York/Central Park South/Midtown West. The hotel itself is good, nice rooms and a great location to explore the city. However, what let this hotel down was the lack of care from the staff. We booked 2 rooms for our stay over NYE, myself and my partner in one room, and then my 3 sisters in another. On our first night stay, my 3 sisters were awoken at 2am by a man entering their room with his suitcases, the staff had given him keys to their room. When calling down to the staff to ask what had happened & why has a man entered their room, they were greeted by a women who was less than helpful, asking why they were in that room and that it wasn’t their room? They were in that room because they were allocated this room by this same woman & given 3 room keys earlier in the night. She was less than apologetic & dismissive, saying if we wanted compensation they could have a voucher for a coffee in the morning. This is not even enough compensation to offer 3 women, under the age of 25 in a different country, in a city they have never been to, let alone over NYE. Other issues being: - 2 out of 3 elevators working - hotel cleaning staff taking up entire elevators during peak times causing up to 20 minute waits and having to walk down 30 flights of stairs. - 8pm vacuuming in the hallways - random charges to our credit cards during and after our stay without an invoice, explanation or compensation. Would NOT recommend this hotel.
