Really awful stay at Hotel27. The standard room was tiny, barely enough room for the bed and a table. When we arrived the TV wasn't working and because it was evening there was no one to come and fix it. The aircon unit was very noisy all night - it was next to the bed and we got hardly any sleep. And when we tried to have a shower in the morning the water was cold. Also the windows were filthy and there were many small flies in the shower. Turns out the water was OK, just had had to wait a very long time for hot water to come through the pipes (but we didn't know that). The engineer replaced the firestick which was used with the TV, but the new one had mainly UK apps which are not accessible in the US. This is a budget hotel but even so it was terrible.

I got charge $ 150.00 deposit upon check in ( Thats normal ), at check out they return the deposit ( It was pending ); today both charges disappear and there is a new one for $ 150.00 pending. I did not received any statement upon check out explaining this charge. On top on that awful hotel ( TV wasn't working, shower was cloght ). I know its a discount hotel and i was there for a quick business trip, but the hotel was just awful. I need my refund back of the $ 150.00 "deposit Fee"

Was better than we expected. One thing to note, the windows are not insulated from the noise, so bring your earplugs, that’s what we did, and was great!

Itty bitty room, clean enough
Hard to find - the main feature of the entrance is an advertisement for a psychic, which somehow made me feel like the lead character in a romcom who is starting to realize that her magical trip has gone awry. Extremely basic with a very small room that lacks features I normally take for granted - a bedside light, for instance. It did end up being fine - things like the tray in the shower coming off the wall does give you some misgivings - but does have both fridge and microwave, which was nice! Overall, wouldn't stay here again when work is paying for a hotel, but a decent option if you're trying to save money and the basic Marriotts have spiked to $450/night for some reason, as they did the week I was staying.

I was thrown off by the psychic booth in front of the hotel reception area. I second guessed if it was the hotel. The lobby was clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel was in an old thin building hence the space limitation. The elevator was quiet, even though our room is in front of the elevator, we did not hear it when being used. Our room was 604 - there was no view. Some things I would rather have fixed 1) The window was dirty / dusty 2) There was no exhaust in the washroom 3) The TV was not working, though we never used it since we tour outside. 4) There was only 1 chair for sitting. 5) There was no safe to store our valuables The property was close to the subway it's very accessible. Very close to flat iron building, hence it's close to the hop on hop off bus tours. The receptionists were very helpful, the check in process was very smooth. They even stored our luggage before we checked in and after we checked out. I believe Carmina helped us with out check out she was amazing. Overall, this hotel is not over grand but for the price and location this is worth our time and money. We spent USD$1000 for 4 nights stay - not cheap for the type of hotel but we are in Manhattan. If we are touring back in Manhattan, this will be one of our options.
