The room was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is small but it had everything we needed and it couldn’t have been more perfect for just 2 people. It is located in a great spot next to Times Square and a short walk to Rockefeller Center.

Room was “cleaned” but sheets and pillow cases had brown and black marks- not from us! Was super gross! Customer service was meh, no one was super welcoming to us. Location was extremely convenient and near all the tourist locations! Security was a nice plus too!

Positive points: The hotel is very well located. Housekeeping is provided daily. There is a café inside where you get a $10 daily credit to use. The TV includes HBO. Negative points: The rooms are tiny — don’t be misled by the photos like I was. The air conditioning does not heat above 25°C and is very noisy. In addition to the AC noise, you hear other constant noises, plus street noise. The rooms have connecting side doors, meaning zero privacy — you can hear everything said in the room next door, and they can hear you. The gym has almost no equipment, just weights, one bench, two treadmills, and three bikes.

Everything was wonderful, could even text the front desk for ice and they brought it up to the room! Even when we left at 4am this morning, i asked for ice, and they had no problem getting it. And the security of the hotel is phenomenal, the lobby doors lock at midnight, you need a key to get in to the lobby and same goes for the elevators. And the staff were amazing! Rooms very clean beds comfy. 100% would stay here again

We had a number issues with the room but the rate and location were great. Issues:Room 2629 - [ ] Sink handle falls off - [ ] Toilet paper holder loose and drops the TP - [ ] The light on the left side of the bed doesn’t switch off - [ ] Spicy overpowering food smells come under the door from the adjoining room.

I checked out on Wednesday, February 4th at 10:40 AM. I went for a walk while waiting for my flight and left some packages in the lobby at 6:30 PM for a good friend to pick up later. Now, out of nowhere, they don't hold anything after 10:00 PM, information that was NOT given to me at checkout. All they did was give me a ticket to send to my friend so he could retrieve it. To me, this is THEFT. They stole products from my clothing brand. HORRIBLE.

It was a great experience here at Motto, such great location (located right by Times Square), I went in Feb and it’s one of a slower month for New York tourists so it wasn’t crowded. The room is perfect size for 2 person (I don’t suggest more than 2), the cleaner came to our room to clean it out everyday unless you ask them not to. Come home to a relaxing and clean smell of the hotel every night just makes you feel better after a long busy day. With the pricing, this is definitely an ideally place to stay and enjoy your trip in NYC!

The staff member at the reception were very welcoming and helpful. The room was neat and organized. Little compact but that’s how NYC is. A small coffee or kettle for tea would have been great. However, the stay was very pleasant and relaxing.

I had to cut my trip short due to a major snowstorm. The hotel said they would refund the nut, but I had to call Expedia. They refused to refund anything. No credit, partial or nothing. They should have understood and credited me a night at the least.
