I liked that the front desk gave us an early check in when we arrived at 7:00 am. Rooms are spacious. I was able to get a coffee maker and extra towels right away. Property is close to everything— Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Pkaza etc.

Biggest issue was the lift, which had an issue when it kept staying open, making the journey to the 14th floor slow. This was reported to the desk.

Everything to experience new york is right there. Times square is walkable. The subway system can be learned easily there. And the expierience of new york food and its authenticity can be expieirienced at any of the markets nearby. I highly advise any first time travelers to go to this hotel.

Great location if you’re in town for a Broadway show, Carnage Hall or like to walk to Central Park. The hotel is ok. It was extremely crowded when we were there and there were issues with elevators. If you don’t mind taking the stairs - do, they’re kind of fun as far as hotel stairwells go. The room heating system is old and very loud. Worse, it was impossible to control - it would turn itself off and sometimes when you would set it at a certain temperature it would go up completely on its own. The staff were friendly and helpful (we did not complain about the heating system - figured it was pointless). If you’re planning to spend most of your time out and about, this place is fine.

Beware the Destination Fee!
Room was clean and comfortable, if rather small for two adults. When we needed maid service on our weeklong stay, we were able to get it. But most NY hotels now charge a "destination fee" on top of the quoted price of the room about $20-30/day, which they do not disclose at the beginning and doesn't show up on the price quoted on Hotels.com--so you are in for a rude shock when you check out!

Our bathroom was not cleaned. The shower curtain was soured and stained. There was a used razor in the shower. No hand or wash towels. Hotel did provide towels upon request but they did not clean the bathroom.

We’ve been staying at Park Central for a few years now and we’ve steadily noticed a decline in the installations and service. When we checked in the front desk lady was incredibly rude and had a hard time answering basic questions. I hope they train their personnel better and start to give proper maintenance to their rooms

I loved that it was close to the subway. Easy access to a maijor source of transportation in NY. Workers were very nice as well.

Would stay again, hotel was clean, beds comfortable, great location. Felt safe, easy access to subway. Two complaints- room got very hot at night, unable to adjust thermostat, but we cracked the window, let it cool off and closed it back bc the street noise is a lot (New York never sleeps) - only 2 working elevators for 20 floors, often had to wait for elevator
