We could smell the cleanliness as soon as we walked into our room, fresh and clean and plenty of room. The staff were friendly and helpful in pointing out local walks etc.
The only drawback was the logging of our car registration on the machine in the foyer. Overly confusing what should have been an easy job. The breakfast food was always well cooked and plentiful, sets you up for the whole day.

Rooms tired but competitive price for out of town accommodation
This property is ok for literally a base and bed for our stay. The hotel was sparse with amenities and felt very much like facilities I’d stayed with when I was at school or in the army. Perfect for those wanting no frills and one ply toilet paper.
Stopped off on my trip from midlands to Scotland late last minute decision this hotel came up when I looked for somewhere to stay it was a little basic but very clean and comfortable staff were helpful, I had a little trouble with the swipe card locks other then that fine it was a 1/3rd cheaper then holiday inn and travel lodge. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you.
We received a friendly greeting on arrival and this set the tone of our stay, We were given excellent service at all times during our stay by all members of staff and I can't speak highly enough of them.
The food was fantastic, we had two evening meals and breakfast on the final day and the service for these was excellent.
We visited for the Great North Run and will be back next year, I would recommend staying here to anybody who's looking for excellent value, service and quality.
Basic but clean. Evening meals and breakfasts expensive but a chain pub and carvery down the road was inexpensive. Advertised Electric Vehicle Charging but they were Tesla only.
Clearly a very inexpensive hotel, but well kept and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Cannot recommend enough if you need somewhere cheaply priced in that area - i have paid much more for worse service.
