I had arranged for a hotel driver to meet me at the airport but could not find him when I arrived. When I texted their number, I received an immediate call back. Staff apologized for a "system failure" and asked me to take a taxi. I considered this to be only a minor inconvenience. When walking into the hotel, the receptionist repeatedly apologized and upgraded my room to a larger one with a sea view. From the moment of check-in, I found all staff to be friendly and helpful. The English skill of some is limited but by each of us speaking clearly there were no issues.
The breakfast buffet was cold cuts, cheese, bread, rice, beef, pork, soup, salad, coffee and juice. It was simple but was more than enough to start the day. Don't expect 4 or 5 star cuisine and you won't be disappointed. If you're a picky eater, don't complain, just go somewhere else.
The Wi-Fi signal was very weak but the public beach across the street had a strong one. The beach lounge chairs with umbrella rent for less than $5/day. Waiters from nearby restaurants service the lounge chair users and food prices are reasonable. Many good restaurants are nearby, both on and off the beach. If you want to explore the area, motorbike taxis are waiting on every corner. Currency exchanges are within walking distance.
