LEISURE AND ACTIVITIES

NORTH BEACH - 7 minute walk. Can also drive and park your car on the sand. The water is crystal clear and ideal for swimming and children.

PLAYGROUND and bbq in the reserve area, only a 1 minute walk away.

BOAT RAMP /JETTY- 5 minute drive away near the Marina. The fishing is excellent, with plenty of whiting, squid, crabs, garfish and tommies on offer.

COOPERS MARINA ALEHOUSE- 5 minute drive. Perfect for a relaxing drink or to get something to eat for lunch/ dinner.

WALLAROO TOWN- 5 Minute drive. Has a supermarket, several pubs/hotels, as well as take away food and breakfast places.

KADINA shopping centres and facilities, if you need, only a 10 minute drive away.

CLARE VALLEY WINERY-just over a 1hr drive. Enjoy a scenic day trip for some beautiful white/ red wine tasting and food.

MOONTA WATERPARK- 15 minute drive away.
MOONTA TOWN-cafes, restaurants, bakeries.

Average but spacious
House was spacious however outdated throughout. Although bedding was supplied it was mismatched and wrong sizing which made it uncomfortable. Cleanliness issues in the kitchen especially cutlery drawer, which we had to clean. Window for sea view was filthy and had to clean ourselves, same as outdoor furniture. Coffee machine, whilst supplied initially didn’t work until we cleaned it. Be warned NO WIFI, given the property had no internet there were no board games or DVD’s to compensate. Given the price point we were expecting better, as we have previously stayed in other holiday homes in the area which have provided these facilities. Having said that, communication with the property owner was brilliant, and he even offered for us to stay an additional night for free which we were not able to commit to.

Relaxing holiday destination
The property is larger than the photos would indicate which was a very pleasant surprise. We stayed over during the xmas/new year period and particularly enjoyed nights on the balcony staring at the incredible sunsets. There was plenty of clean linen. The beds were comfortable. The washing machine worked! The air conditioner worked beautifully too which we were very grateful for. The only negative I could mention is the place really needs a more updated stove top and oven and vacuum cleaner. Cooking was a little annoying but we made do. The place could do with more updated cooking utensils and kitchenware. The property manager was very quick to respond to our needs. His help was very much appreciated. The beach is a brief walk away. Even though we experienced high temps it was much cooler in Wallaroo than Kadina & moonta!! Early beach walks and late evenings swims are a must!
