The perfect getaway for lasting memories
What a fabulous place to stay! Every detail is intentional, well thought out, and thoughtful to guests. When other reviews say photos do not do this home justice, it is true. You will be blown away taking your first steps into this mountain retreat. The indoor and outdoor areas have plenty of activities and space for guests, and a beautiful kitchen to make home meals and making memories with family. Not only is this household magnificent, but the cleanliness is immaculate. I cannot express this enough. For such a large house, every room and location kept in mind the comfort of guests. I could write multiple paragraphs about all the details of this home. Truly felt like a home, and the hosts are very much thinking about those visiting with everything they provide to make us comfortable. Every member of my family had countless compliments about this experience. Communication with the host was always pleasant and response always timely. You will not find a better location. Lasting memories will be made here. Thank you again to our wonderful hosts, and we hope to stay again soon!

Amazing property for a family time away from home
My brother and my family due to distance have been doing a “destination thanksgiving” each year by renting a property at a mid point for both families. This year by far has exceeded our expectation and allowed us for some unhurried time together to reconnect and cook and eat some delicious food. The owner of the property are super accommodating and generous. The house is furnished with all necessary cookware (not just bare necessities, but decent quality ware that you can actually cook with) The stove and oven combo were solid to provide sufficient fire power for any level of cooking. Climate control for each area had its own thermostat and the large living room and a family room was perfect for gathering as well as the open kitchen that allowed for both families to eat comfortably. The internet connection was superb and had no issues with hot water. The entire house is stunningly beautiful and well kept. The location is literally just minutes from lake(s). No downside and we are SO pleased that we are talking about making this our annual gathering spot for the years to come. Thank you Prescotts for a true Mountain Refuge indeed!!!!

The best rental I have ever stayed at. The house is amazing and the property was just as beautiful. Everything was clean and the hosts were incredible. A 5 star rating still doesn’t do this justice. The best rental near Yosemite and the Forks area easily.

Perfect family getaway destination!!!
I can’t say enough about how much I love this home. It’s perfect for family gatherings or just large groups. From ping pong to corn-hole the entertainments endless! The kitchen space is ideal with a lots of counter space and the whole house is very clean. Everything seems very new. My kids and I really enjoyed their pond that we went fishing in. There’s a play structure and a well kept lawn. I enjoyed my time on a hammock underneath the tree where I spent time reading. This was definitely a peaceful destination, the master bathroom alone makes you feel like you’re at a spa. Another perk Is Yosemite is only 45 minutes away. Love this home in the mountains…

WOW…AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL
For anyone searching for the most authentic outdoor, luxury mountain experience….THIS IS IT! Close to Yosemite National Park and Bass Lake, this is an amazing home with majestic mountain terrain and views. Loved the private pond to fish and kayak. BBQ and patio area overlooking the pond could accommodate a large group for parties to relax, have drinks, and enjoy the sun sets. This home is updated, spacious, and great for entertainment. Took advantage of the large grass area for a game of soccer with the family. Took to the trails around the property to just enjoy nature. This is a beautiful home and would recommend to all family travelers or large groups looking for a private mountain oasis. HOUSE: Clean and updated, rooms are large with plenty of room for entertaining. It was pleasant to sip wine in the large kitchen, and then head out to the patio and sit, take in fresh mountain air, and relax. Beds were comfortable and place was clean and welcoming. The Master bedroom is beautiful. This was a wonderful experience…..we will be back! Thank you.

The home is welcoming. The grounds were very open lots of room for a BBQ and lots of outdoor furniture to just sit and enjoy the views. There is a pond, play area for little ones and lots of trails for an early morning jog or just a walk in the woods. Inside the home is clean and fresh smelling. The hostess thought of everything you can think of. All the rooms were elegantly staged, yet comfortable and welcoming. The master bedroom, well you just have to see for yourselves. The family room was huge with plenty of room for everyone to come together at the end of the day. We will be back, you can count on that. Thank you

A spa in the mountains.
We absolutely loved staying at The Refuge! The beds are amazing and the sheets very soft. They even had Cozy Earth sheets in the master! The host was attentive and provided us with a wine and chocolate basket. We felt right at home. There’s a game room for kids to go get loud and crazy while I had a "spa day" in the master bedroom-didn’t hear my kids at all!! I could have stayed all three days in the master suite. OUr family enjoyed spending evenings in the courtyard playing ping pong and spent one day playing volleyball and croquet on the field. The kitchen is well appointed with everything (and more) than you need. So much space to spread out; every room had their own smart TV AND thermostat (so I could be at 68 degrees while grandma was at 74 degrees). We loved watching the wildlife fly over the pond while we sipped our morning lattes on the back patio. Walks around the pond were lovely. We traveled to Yosemite one day and enjoyed Bass Lake the next. Miller’s landing is just less than ten minutes away so we rented a boat and ate out all day!! We will book again with extended family now that we know how wonderful this location would be for a birthday party!!
