Old fashioned and quirky enjoyable stay, room a little dated but hey it’s a period property, receptionist on desk made my stay friendly professional made me feel like a family member, lady with dark hair and glasses
Very good hotel, recently modernized to a good standard but in keeping with the building. Restaurant was decent. Well priced when I stayed in a Tuesday night.
We were unable to stay as my wife & I contracted Covid, but the Colwick Hall staff were very understanding and have allowed us to transfer some of our stay too the future.
Great location, lovely suite and reasonable check in. Was going to eat on site but expensive offering...more importantly both chefs outside pressure washing the patio in their chef aprons...big no no for me so ate elsewhere.....
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Fast service at reception and bar. Beautiful location. Gardens and large patio area. Both room and bathroom were large and airy. Just one down side our bedroom only had a tiny window which made it dark and no view - it obscured by concrete breeze blocks supporting the roof structure.
All that being said, the location was perfect for work, access to river, golf courses and race course and I would recommend it and stay her again.
There were large functions on both nights at the hotel but the noise did not travel to the rooms at all.
Only 16 rooms in an interesting historical building. Lovely grounds and walks adjacent with birds and squirrels. Enjoyed the food, the ambience of the bar and restaurant, nice bedroom with modern bathroom (yet "olde worlde" with roof timbers)
Absolutely amazing hotel! So quiet and peaceful, lovely room and great views. Comfy bed and very nice bathroom. Staff were amazing, breakfast was also great. Would definitely stay again.
Not worth the money in the slightest. Rooms are poor quality. Our double bed as advertised wqs 2 singles pushed together. The breakfast was abysmal as was the evening restaurant food, no flavour whatsoever. Surroundings are pleasant but a hotel to avoid
We were very surprised to find our room was actually a suite with a wonderful view of the river. The bedroom was large and comfortable , the bathroom palatial with top-quality fitments.
We had a very nice dinner and a good, if rather expensive breakfast.
