Simple but pleasant place
Initially we were disappointed by the property, which is very simple and basic, especially the way it is furnished - a pity really as the main room is large and would be transformed with a couple of decent sofas. But the bathroom and kitchen are modern and good quality, and it was adequately equipped for cooking, and the washing machine was useful. The main issue is the proximity to the road, which is above the terrace area and has noisy traffic. But the bedroom at the back of the property was quiet at night. Also the parking space, which is essential as there's no parking on the road, is accessed down a narrow, curving drive through electric gates, which was tricky in a large hire car, although was a safe place to park. Despite initial disappointment, we liked the overall privacy (none of the other units were booked so we had no immediate neighbours), and there was plenty of space for 2 of us. The bed was not very comfortable and the mattress should be renewed. Towels and bedding were extra, despite the HomeAway details saying they were provided, apparently 'provided' doesn't mean the same as 'included'! It was a fair price, in a residential area but within 5-10 mins walk of the beach and the town. The area is very hilly however. Off season parking at the beach was free (from 8 Sept), but in peak season it could be difficult to park there.
