The place looked nice. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Took personal care of their guest and even had suggestions. Gave us a little gift at our checkout. Breakfast was good however for lunch and dinner you need to go into town. It was heavily windy and raining during our stay so phone signal and internet was weak but they had a pool table, games and books to keep us entertained. Would of loved to enjoy the balcony but was closed due to the weather damaging parts of it but the friendly service made up for it as they offered us coffee & tea throughout our stay. Not a 5⭐️ hotel but as advertised little villa with 4 rooms. The downstairs washroom need an upgrade but rest of the cottage was nicely staged.
Stayed as a family of four with two young children. The accommodation is really beautiful. And the location is stunning, amongst the tea plantations. A quick tuk tuk ride into lake Gregory. The staff and host are just lovely. So so helpful and make you feel like family. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!

Great place
Super attentive host.. Free bikes and lovely ride around the lake.. Tonnes of food at breakfast.. Lovely comfortable bed..
This was a great experience! Beautiful little property located right in the tea fields. It makes you feel like you are back in time and live on a plantation! All of it a few kilometres from the town.
This is more Bed & Breakfast type that hotel; where you can hear people move around in the building, alarm going off in an other room, or people talking even!!! Everyone has breakfast at the same table in the morning and discuss about their travel plans.
The room was super well appointed and comfortable. No AC but it cools down so much at night at you don’t need it, we actually used the duvet!!!!
The room was super clean! The breakfast was great! The staff was super nice.
I would DEFINITELY stay there again.
We were in the attic room; with low ceiling but so charming!!!
Tip: Close your windows or you’ll have mosquitoes visiting at night!!!
Great gem of a place. Service can’t be faulted. Arranged a car and tour for us at the going rate. Liked that they publish their prices, so no surprises. Worth using them for onward travel, hassle free. Particularly if you ask them for the driver Dissa. He is first class and the beat driver we had on our trip.
They recommend going to the Summer Breeze Indian restaurant, Sure its good but after a fairly long walk in the dark, along the not particularly safe road, only to find we couldn’t get a beer with our curry! Not good.
So if you want a beer with your food, get them to arrange transport to the Grand Indian/19th Hole pub. There you’ll get a good feed and a pint!
That said real good place, go for the attic room if you can. (Its the family room)
5 stars - good place

Property has potential to be lovely. However when the owner and their employees sit in the common area right outside your room door and talk loudly and help other guests for meals etc until after 10pm it doesn't cut it. So noisy. The next morning the temple has chanting over a tannoy starting at 6 am for an hour. This needs to be mentioned so you are aware you won't get much sleep. Most expensive accommodation we stayed in in SL and by far close to the worst. Chairs and table placed next to window which means you cannot get into bed unless you crawl over the bed. Ridiculous. Pictures are beautiful but property is not really that nice. Bathroom was very outdated and grubby. Subpar offering
Very nice stay that served as our base to explore nuwara Eliya. The place seems like an English cottage get away. The served breakfast in the morning was wonderful. The rooms and bathroom was nice. The shared sitting room and terrace were like being at home.
The property on a tea plantation and has a nice serene atmosphere. As a bonus you can get free tea field walks and a reds to complimentary bike.
Oh and all the tea you can drink.
This is a lovely place. We had the room off the dining room which was fine. The best room is the attic room, but all of them are good. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again.
I really liked this property as it was really in the middle of a massive tea estate and yet very easily accessible to the main road. We drove and there was no problems in parking. Also, the host showed us around the tea fields (you can request) as well as parted with a nice going away tea gift from Nuwara Eliya. Overall the stay was excellent and I strongly recommend this accommodation to whoever stays in Nuwara Eliya.
Welcomed by a group of friendly hosts and offered tea. The downstairs room was pretty basic and you do get a little bit of noise from upstairs but no big issue for our short one night stay. If the attic or upstairs rooms are available I would have gone for one of them instead.
The guys arranged a tuk-tuk for us so that we could go for dinner and they prepared a takeaway breakfast pack as we departed at 5am.

Half way there!
Good choice to stop here for a night while driving through the highlands. Join the walk through the adjacent tea plantation, after a welcome cup of tea & biscuits! A well prepared breakfast is a great start to the day's drive. Staff are very helpful

Staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom was clean but not spacious. Bathroom was small and dimly lit. We could hear the noise made by the occupients from the room above us and we were woken up at 4 am when they got up to pack and leave.
The hotel was perfectly fine. The location is ok but we had to walk a long way in the dark to get dinner. The people working there are. Wet kind and helpful.
The staff couldn't have been more attentive, loved the free walking tour around the plantation
Tea avavilbe at anytime - complementary and also free bikes had a lovely bike ride around the lake etc thanks for a fab stay
First of all the staff who worked here were superb. Very friendly, helpful and polite at all times and they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.
Unfortunately I would say this is one of the most over-priced hotels I have ever stayed in. We booked what was advertised as a 'superior villa' which turned out to be just a normal room (queen bed) with a fairly average shower room. When I tried to complain to the sales rep over the phone about the mis-advertising he claimed the only thing he could do was cancel the whole reservation (this was at 5:30pm in the evening after we had been driving for hours to get there). When I asked if we could just cancel the 2nd night so that we had time to book somewhere else, he refused.
For the same price we stayed in some absolutely fantastic hotels elsewhere in Sri Lanka. The owners clearly spent money for a professional photographer which made the rooms look as good as they possibly good (look at my photos) - the reality was quite different. Clearly not much of the money goes into updating and renovating the place. Our 'view' of the tea fields was actually another building just next door (where there was also noisy building work going on while we stayed there).
The location isn't ideal either - quite far out of town and from restaurants etc.

Lovely homestay but not as pictured!
Enjoyed our stay here. The villa is a beautiful house in the middle of some very pretty tea fields just on the outskirts of the city. We walked home in the evening which is a bit of a trek but easy enough to do in the right shoes :)
The photo shown on the advertisement of the bath was somewhere in the villa we weren't invited to view...but having said that we had a lovely ground floor room which was very pretty although the house has floorboards which means it has the potential to be noisy (it wasn't when we stayed though). The owner/manager is super lovely. Once of the lovely characters we met on our trip and we really enjoyed our short chats with him. Breakfast was great. Again, a set menu that just appears with no questions about what you would or wouldn't like (usually omelette, white bread toast, tea and coffee). Awesome dog that lives in the adjoining house and loves to cuddle your legs as you walk. Weird, but adorable and clean.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Tea Fields. They were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and room was clean and comfortable. It truly was a special experience to sleep in an ‚old English house‘
