Beautiful hotel with incredible garden rooms were spacious and included a private balcony overlooking the garden and lake. Restaurant food was very good with a mix of local and American style food. The help were very accommodating in arranging excursions and transportation. Highly recommend
Wow! Serene was the first word that came to mind when we got there, quickly followed by amazing customer service and attention to detail. The staff were fabulous and paid special attention to our son. The little things they did, over and above, just left a smile on our faces for the entire time we were there. Bricks and mortar are one thing, but a hotel being able to make you feel good is rare. Loved it!
A very comfortable stay, with nice grounds, a good view (you're not directly on the lake, but are connected by a canal and can see it in the background), and relaxing to hang out by the pool. Service is very friendly and it's easy to book boat trips or other tours through the hotel. A couple of downsides: there's wifi in the common areas, but not in the rooms, and there's not much to see within walking distance of the hotel.
A fantastic place with infinity pool and jacuzzi. The food is amazing be it a little lacking in local cuisine. Watch out for a 3.7% credit card charge at the end of the stay if you choose to settle up by credit card. The boat tour is excellent value for money and their taxi service isn’t bad. We were travelling with two young children and we felt extremely welcome throughout.
Overall, it was the best hotel that we stayed in myanmer within our 10 days trip. We were running out of cash for taxi driver and the hotel staff paid from his own pocket for us. They are all so nice people. Room and hotel was so clean and has an amazing view of lake. The only negative thing was no internet at rooms
I can only make highly complimentary remarks about the staff, the room, the location, the layout and the cook. This and I am a very seasoned but critical traveller.
I travel to experience to local cultures, don't just stay in the hotel and go outside of my comfort zone. Hence in Inle Lake we went with locals on the lake for the day, hired the worst bikes ever (cause for some great stories), ate street food daily and went for some cooking lessons at in the home of a local whom we had started talking to at random. However I was unprepared for the monks and locals in the monastery (almost next door to the hotel) who read from their books through loud speakers from 5am until 9pm uninterruptedly. But it could be worst, as the next monastery down (which we could not hear so well goes 24/7). With ears plugs I could just about sleep through it. It was interesting to talk about this constant interference (and it did interrupt the tranquillity of the place) with the local people. Half found it also a source of irritation whilst the rest found it a source of comfort as it gave them a sense of being protected.
I just wish I knew about it before going - I might not have stopped me but I would have mentally prepared for it.
the grounds are immaculate. I thought the food was just incredible - really great chef. The staff was always helpful and kind. Room 108 has an incredible view.
Lovely peaceful haven. Perfect for a rest in June.
We visited low season but for us it was perfect. We stayed 5 nights, mid. June. The staff were wonderfully friendly and polite. Whilst part of the hotel was closed, junior suite, for renovation it did not affect us in any way. The weather was just right to, Not too hot or wet. Rain came late afternoon in the form of a sprinkle twice and overnight once but nothing much. We were lucky I'm sure but I think it's the right time of year to go, any other must get unbelievable hot. Mandalay was 40 ish Inle Lake was about 8 degrees lower.
We were the only people for 1 day, we had 2 other couples at different times and they were out in the day so we had the hotel to ourselves. The staff team from gardeners to cooks and cleaners to waiters and reception were a credit to the manager nothing was too much. Trips organised by hotel were more expensive by double but 1 couple were ok with that having hotel backing. We got details of a boatman in town who took us on our tour of the lake to where we wanted to go. Amazing sights. A wonderful place to rest and have a a base. Could not imagine staying in the noisy town!
I don't recommend that hotel at all for several reasons:
1. It's not a "Spa", as the name suggests. It's just a hotel without any spa amenities. There's only a lady who offers overpriced massages (5 times the normal price) and that's what they call "spa"
2. Electricity went off several times a day, hot water was only limited
3. The rooms were dark and cold, there are not even glass windows in some of the rooms
4. There is no air-conditioning, which is absolutely unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. That means that the rooms are either too hot (in summer) or too cold (in winter)
5. There is nothing around the hotel, just a small village. Going to the next town means taking an expensive 30 minutes taxi ride
So, all in all, very bad value for money. Don't go there!
