Loved the charm of this hotel! The staff was always friendly and willing to answer any/all questions. A yummy breakfast was available for a minimal cost (fruit, yogurt, eggs, beans, toast, coffee, tea). Walkability is fantastic! Plenty of restaurants, cafes, mezcalerias within walking distance. Closer to plaza de la danza and about 10 min. walk to the zocalo.
Really lovely hotel with lovely roof terrace and quiet area at night yet close walking distance to the centre. The room had a decent en-suite & large comfy bed & fan. Slightly outdated room but really Great value.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff and owners went out of there way to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of the place was very rustic and charming super clean fresh flowers very convenient I hated to leave
Comfortable beds, Hot shower, tasteful room, with good wifi and tv netflix options. Cute garden rooftop. Water cooler in the front lobby. Breakfast or coffee available. The room was a bit dark with an inner courtyard window. Very polite & helpful staff. Easily walkable to all the sites.
Staying at the Aitana Hotel was awesome.
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful.
The hotel atmosphere is very comfortable.
My friends and I felt very safe the entire time. In the mornings, we gathered in the open courtyard for breakfast and in the evenings, we enjoyed the beautiful rooftop garden.
It’s not a fancy hotel, but it’s a typical colonial hotel with all the amenities that we could possibly need.
We felt at home the entire time.
Thanks to Reynaldo and his staff.
Victor Manuel was very kind, helped us with lots of info, always ready to answer our questions, great attitude, the lady in the kitchen went out of her way to prepare a delicious breakfast for us, 8-10 minutes walking distance to main andador and zocalo, very clean and excellent price/value, Victor recommended a restaurant called las quince letras everything was delicious, also Casa Oaxaca and Los Danzantes. we have a blast, we can't wait to go back, Thank you Aitana.
The rooms were lovely. Clean and bright. Breakfast was delicious and with many options. Staff was friendly and super helpful with suggestions where to eat. Definitely recommend to stay.

Overall the stay was good, the rooms were spacious and comfortable for the price. The glaring issues were the following-
1. Noisy - the first floor in particular is very loud and not sound proof. Be prepared to wake up early while the staff sets up and cleans or has conversation.
2. The staff doesn’t speak English at all which is fair as we are in Mexico but the hotel is international and they can’t communicate important information or verify information.
3. The fans above head don’t work without making tons of noise but it’s extremely hot so you’ll need it.The hotel doesn’t have AC* as they advertised
4. The included breakfast is supposed to end at 10:30am but they often clear the food at 9am and don’t replace the items.
The unique architecture but most of all the excellebt service from all staff made me feel welcomed thrughout my stay.
The hotel was within walking reach to all the museums, markets, etc. that the city offers.
We can gladly recommend staying at the Aitana Hotel. We had a nice room on the second floor. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The hotel has a pretty interior courtyard. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Good location with just a short walk to the zocalo. We would definitely stay here on a return trip to Oaxaca. The breakfast had fresh fruit and a choice of hot items. We were staying at the hotel in August. The rooms have a strong ceiling fan. AC was not necessary. Only suggestion is the hotel may want consider raising the price of a room by $1 and adding a pastry plate to the breakfast.

What I liked about the hotel is that there is a beautiful spacious courtyard that is used for the free breakfast every morning. The hotel rooms are clean and there is daily maid service. There is also a second floor deck that is nice to go up on and read or just relax. Overall the staff is friendly and respectful. I recommend this place for the price and the quality of service that you receive.
