Booked a 5 night stay here in a king room. Very spacious and clean. Staff were more than accommodating and super friendly. Most spoke English fluently which definitely helped. Breakfast in the morning provided you with 3 options each day which we certainly appreciated together with the bottles of water and the packets of tissues! Lots of amenities nearby - forex, pharmacies, markets of course. Location can’t be better. We were a bit leery about staying right in the heart of the zocalo but none of our hesitations were justified. Streets were well lit at night, and we felt very safe. It’s great to see lots of families, young kids, the elderly and couples alike -all enjoying the same space. A very festive and happy atmosphere. Lots of touts in the zocalo but a friendly ‘no gracias’ is sufficient. No aggressions. All in all a terrific stay!

Beautiful property with a helpful staff. It was super walkable and the area around, including the lively near by square was such a joy! I would stay here again and again. The free breakfast is a different menu every day and it was good all 3 days we had it.

The hotel was quaint and full of colorful flowers for Dia de los Muertos. It is on a busy street and we were able to walk to the center of downtown. The staff was helpful. The morning breakfast was delicious. And our room was far enough from the busy street where we did not hear any street noise. We would stay there again.

This friendly hotel is right in the middle of it all! Walk out the door and you are across the street from Mercado Benito Juarez, 5-10 minute walk from the Zocalo. Breakfast is included and it's delicious. There is an in-house travel desk where friendly Carmen can arrange tours, rental cars, cooking classes and private taxis. Our room was very spacious. Even though it is right in the heart of Oaxaca Centro it is quiet and peaceful.

I loved my stay here and would stay again if I was in the area. The location is amazing and safe. It was very central to many restaurants and tourist sites. I had an inside facing room which was great to reduce the street noise, which is a given due to the location. I went during dia de los muertos celebrations and although very convenient to stop for a break I could hear music into the early morning. This didn’t bother me but it might for light sleepers. The breakfast is also delicious and the room was very clean.

What a delightful surprise. Hotel Trebol far exceeded my expectations. A warm welcome from the staff, a clean and spacious room, delicious breakfasts with cheerful pleasant weight staff. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Oaxaca.

Servicio excelente y habitaciones cómodas y bonitas. El servicio de desayunos también estaba muy bien. Lo único que no nos gustó es que la calle estaba en reparación, nos quitaba mucha vista y había mucho ruido debido a las máquinas.

The hotel was conveniently situated in the center of the city and near the central plaza, El Zócalo. The building is nice, spacious, with an interior open air patio for breakfast and lounging. The staff was friendly, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable. They were painting the exterior of the hotel right around the window of our room and there was construction in the streets in front of the hotel. It made for a noisy and dusty environment. Our room was smaller but with lots of natural light. Without any way to block that light, it woke us up early in the mornings. There was not enough storage space for our clothes for 3 days. There could have been more hooks to hang our wet towels. The water pressure in the shower was ok but it took a long time for the hot water to arrive. And when it came it was hard to adjust it to a usable temperature. Breakfast was good, plentiful and varied, Oaxaca and Mexican style. We would surely stay at hotel Trebol again.
