The common lounge to the front of the building had been poorly repainted around skirtings/windows and gave a very "tired" feel, not professional. This was continued into our room which had a 70's decor, poor and rotten paintwork around the bathroom windows with mould evident and wall tiles missing. There's more I could add but suffice to say, my first and last stay - thankfully only one night.
The view from our room was fantastic the room was very spacious, food was delicious and very large portions
Staff are so friendly ,hotel needs a little updating but is fine, the bar and dinning area have an amazing view ,would definitely go back .

It was like a maze very outdated thou bed was good
It was a great stay here. The beds are really comfortable and the rooms very spacious. We had a sea view which was lovely to wake up to. The staff were brilliant, friendly and very helpful. Only downside was the shower was always cold. The staff tried to fix the pressure right away. However, everything else was great
Nice place to stay at, very happy that it was dog friendly. All i would say is that if the windows were updated and the bed was slightly bigger then i would have rated higher. I will be back though.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
The building is old, and facilities are just enough for a night stay. There were thick layers of dust inside the radiator and spots on the carpet. Floors are old and squeaky. But the room does the job with ensuite toilet and bathroom.
Staff very helpful. Everything within walking distance. Really large rooms with plenty of storage space. Stayed at hotel before and would have no problem staying again
Sea view room but had to stuff toilet paper in windows to try keep draft out which it didnt.
Bathroom heater did not work.
Carpet was stained and dog hair ended up all over our clothes
Could smell dog when i lay on the bed. Not sure if it was off the carpet tho.
This hotel would be lovely if it was revamped.
Asked about Gluten free breakfast but all food was cooked and put together ie bacon was in with sausages and potato scone was in with tomato. We were told these were gluten free but if your not gluten free you dont understand or maybe you should read up on gluten free.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Hotel is a little dated but is very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and willing to help you, for what I payed for this little break away, it was a bargain
Single room badly in need of renovation. Wallpaper peeling etc. Scaffolding outside window. Altogether room very scruffy. Service for dinner in the bar very slow. Good breakfast although had to wait for mugs and tea bags. No disabled parking
Hotel very tired but I had one of the updated rooms which was lovely. Staff helpful and welcoming except at breakfast. The waiter could have showed me where everything was instead of me having to ask (self service buffet) Dinner was tasty and reasonably priced.
Room and hotel needs a complete refurbishment. Public areas and lift filthy. The room allocated was nothing like the one in the pictures. Furniture needs replacing. No information given by reception staff on the hotel facilities etc when we checked in. We are arrived at the hotel 20 minutes early we were told to wait in the lounge and we would be told when our room was ready but this didnt happen so we were left waiting in the lounge until we decided to go back to reception and it would appear the staff had forgotten about us.
Very reasonably priced for on the seafront and in easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Hotel itself is a little dated with some maintenance required but generally we had a comfortable stay.
