Our carpet was very dirty. I dropped crumbs and when I used a wash cloth to pick them up the cloth was black. Carpets need cleaned bad. I had booked through Expedia an Oceanfront room. I called the Sahara to never have anyone pick up the phone. I was told you have to go through a reservation center which I called and requested a first floor room away from the road. Upon check in I was given a third floor ocean view room. When I said we requested first floor I was told I would be upgraded to oceanfront free of charge. I showed her my reservation sheet showing I had booked oceanfront. Some of the better things were: Our air conditioner wouldn't work and they did come and replace it. There were no maids sitting on the steps that you had to try to climb around which was true in past years. I noticed the trash cans on the floors at the steps were always emptied which wasn't happening in past years. The rooms were cleaned better than previous years.

Outdated and uncomfortable.
Stayed here because family members were staying here. I would never stay here again. Beds were lumpy and hard. Bathroom had a wall sink and no shelves. All fixtures were cheap and old. No place to set down small items. No hook on back of door. Carpet looked really old. Dark green color was popular in early 90s. Furniture looked like 1982. To their credit, the bathroom was as clean as it could be given its outdated appearance. The place just looks sad and i couldn't wait to leave. I am used to staying in modern hotels with ammenties so this place was uncomfortable in many ways. Diner associated with it used the be very good, but not good now. Eggs tasted like powdered eggs. It was really awful and really expensive.

First time at this establishment wasn’t bad at all the beach is right outside any issues that you have get taken care of asap I booked for a family vacation and will book here again overall satisfied and will book again next year

Left flyer on door (as instructed) asking for towels--never got them--room not touched, cleaned! (yet they leave an envelope for a tip!! Second night, air conditioner smelled like it was on fire. When I told the desk, he said "it is because you turned up the temperature too high

Cape was very nice and helpful at check in. Very old place, it needs many up grades. No central air. Had a wall unit like a window unit it was so loud i could not sleep. We were only there two days and did not stay the second day since we didn't get any sleep. So disappointing because we had an awesome ocean front view.

This hotel is not family friendly. Our neighbors were always on the balcony smoking weed. We had two granddaughters with us. We paid good money for a balcony they couldnt sit on. And the next morning, they blared the music at 7am. We called the office on the weed and was told they cant do anything because its legal there. What happened to the no smoking policies.and we found someones dirty sock in the bed that didnt belong to any of us. The location was about the only good thing.

I really enjoyed my stay. We had a perfect view of the boardwalk and ocean. The property was clean and the staff was friendly. It is a little outdated but it was fine for my family The view was everything.

A nice place to stay at the beach
I read the reviews before I booked. It was in the area I wanted to be so I took a chance. It was pretty nice and I would go back. The room seemed decent and clean with tiles replaced in the shower and floor of bathroom and mattress was comfortable so could've have been too old. There were 3 buildings so probably each one being updated a little at a time. Balcony is the walkway to your room, so not private. Would have appreciated more hooks or towel racks in BR for the towels we had. Also, there wasnt a do not disturb sign for the door, but a sign to say you wanted towels changed, beds made, etc. We were only there from Tuesday to Thursday, so were fine with what we had. Didnt expect anyone to come in so left things out. They came in anyway and changed out the towels. Perhaps Wednesday was just one of their change towel days. Was still surprised for being there such a short time, and would have preferred no one going into room. Window air conditioner was pretty annoying too. Constantly turning on and off. There was space around the air conditioner so the hot air getting around was possibly the cause. Was very appreciative of the quietness. The walls were pretty thick or we didnt have very noisy neighbors. I would definitely go back again.

The room smelled horrible, the bed sheets were not changed from the last person, i asked to get clean ones from the front desk & they said the cleaners left for the day. Toilet paper was used prior. Floor was very spongey by the window. White powder around the baseboard area of the room. The microwave didnt work & the ice machine was broke & was told i would have to get ice elsewhere if i wanted it. Wery unhappy for the price i had to pay.
