Room comfort insufficient
Some facilities mentioned in this hotel were not available, but did not have an influence, as they were available close-by. As usual for the cheaper rooms of this old Sovyet style hotel, the isolation around the windows is bad, scotched, temperature and sometimes noice confort insufficient. For the same price, I stayed in better quality hotels, including breakfast, in smaller Ukrainian cities. Recommend not to pay in advance for this kind of hotels and cheaper rooms, and always choose the possibility of cancellation until arrival.
The first room was so small every time I tried to smile my teeth would touch the wall. I had to complain to Orbitz phone service to get a better room. I am in a wheelchair so this room was bigger but I could not get into the bathroom with it. it was difficult to get my chair to fit through the doors but it was a nice room until the back casters kept hitting the door facing and taring the paint and trim off the door jams. Their heater stopped working so I had a space heater to keep me warm. I was pleased that they had a discounted breakfast with a restaurant in the same building. I liked the staff, but had to pay $40 for the sheets and coverlet because I had diarrhea and had an accident while transferring to my wheelchair. I had only 2 Items that I used from the mini bar but was charged $4 for it anyway. Everyone was friendly but few could speak English well enough to make good communication. I was constantly using iTranslator to talk to them. The only way I will stay in this hotel is if they had a Handicapped accessible Room with grab bars in the bathroom to get in and out the tub or toilet! I would rate this hotel with 2.5 stars only!
Horrendous even at £16 per night. Next to a strip club and offered condoms in the mini bar. Wold be quite socially responsible I suppose if (i) they weren't £3 each; and, (ii) anyone bothered to fill up the minibar with anything. Room was grubby. Bar was neglected and virtually empty. Barman virtually got into a fight with a customer (not me!) who became angry at being ignored. Refused to provide a kettle because it was 'hotel rules'. Actually the receptionist who wasn't allowed to provide the kettle, but was pleasant about it, was probably the nicest thing about the hotel. And wifi did work quite well.
Stayed here as I had an early train and it's very close to the station. Apart from that the area was not great, but the room was comfortable enough and value for money.
We stay luxury room they holding for us choice for rooms we pay just little money get luxury room . Very good service very friendly people anything what we ask we got resepshionist , housekeeping service perfect, security service very safe taking care of us. We like stay more but we have tickets return home but Expedia offers we will loose $1600 any way we have good time
The staff was very rude and impolite especially front desk clerk Vadim. Beds are so old and uncomfortable

Does what it says on the tin
Given the circumstances that Odessa is not like the usual Western tourist experience, and isn’t flowing with money, this hotel is OK - I can’t really complain, because it served the purpose and it’s affordable. The staff were good, and the breakfast was good for the price. The room did smell of a smoke pretty heavily though, and the shower’s temperature fluctuated so wildly and required constant fiddling with the dials to get the right temperature. Basically, the hotel is probably quite dated and worn out but I get that it’s not an easy job restoring something like that. All things considered, the room was clean, I didn’t have any issues, so for the price I would recommend it if you want a good deal. Location is good as in it is close to the train station but you’ll be a 20 minute walk to the centre of Odessa.

Hotel for short business trip
Main advantage of this hotel is location. It is situated in 7 min walk from the main train station and in 15 min by walk from the downtown. It is quite far from the beach. The building is old, but sone rooms were restored. Economy class rooms are not recommended. Most of them are very tired. Lobby area is good for short business meetings.
My first stay here, the hotel was chosen for me. Everything was fine with my room and I enjoyed my stay. On my subsequent trip to Odessa for a weekend getaway, I knew exactly where I wanted to stay. Very affordable, even on a volunteer's stipend, and about a 15 minute walk to the city center. Will definitely stay here again on any other trips to Odessa.

Good value and location
I have stayed in this hotel numerous times. Some rooms are much nicer and recently renovated vs others showing it's age. WiFi is pretty terrible but it's free. Restaurant downstairs is great for date or meeting because it's almost always empty after lunch. If you stay on any floor below 5 on the Arnautskaya side you will here the street preetty well. Opposite side of the building is quiet.
