For the price, this was terrible. When I walked into the room, it was 92 degrees in the room (I have a thermometer) and the heater was on. There are no employees at the hotel and no cell service. I was able to get online at the local store, find a phone number, get an answering service who got hold of a person who eventually got back with me to find the air conditioner.
The check-in process was awful. Because of their virtual check-in policy, I had to complete a long form which included my drivers license number over a web-based service that I don't know or trust. After that, they texted me while I was bicycling through an area that had no cell service - therefore, no text. After I got online at the local store, information started flowing and I eventually got the room comfortable and slept.
The property is also in disarray. The screen door on my motel room did not even fit the door frame. It was larger than the frame and just awkwardly slapped on the wall. Maybe this was good since it also didn't have a handle.
Next time, I'll just stay somewhere that simply accepts a reservation, has a human being check me in, and is there in case anything goes wrong.
