It lies 470 kilometres to the west of Madrid, the capital city of Spain.

Put aside a few hours for enjoying the sound of the swell and searching for washed up treasures at Redonda Beach or America Beach.

Escape on a trip to some nearby natural attractions. 40 kilometres out of Oia, Illa de Ons is just waiting to be experienced. Our Lady of the Rock, 11 kilometres away, is another lovely place to relax in the outdoors.

Journey 50 kilometres north to Pasaron Stadium to watch an exhilarating live game of soccer. Located in Pontevedra, the venue is the home of the Pontevedra Club de Fútbol, S.A.D, so deck yourself out in maroon, gold and blue and cheer your heart out!

If you're looking to head further afield, add a day trip to Baiona to your travel plan. This place is 8 kilometres to the north and features Monterreal Castle and Ladeira Beach. Need more ideas? Tomino is 9 kilometres to the east of Oia and is known for the Terras Gauda and Vila Nova de Cerveira Castle.

Spend a morning or afternoon exploring the Santiago Ruiz Winery, Illa Morraceira das Varandas and Illa Canosa. They are all pretty close to the middle of O Rosal, 9 kilometres to the south.
