The reservation through Hotels.com was a hoax. We specifically booked a room and when we arrived we were told that we actually have booked a camping site... We never searched for a comping site, did not prepare for any camping activities and our search was specifically for a couple in a room... This in my view was a fraudulent misinterpretation by Hotels.com to present a solution outside the search definition and actually confirming the reservation for a room where it was actually for a camping site. We have as a result paid more then what we could have gotten elsewhere... Really disappointing to say the least. To all travellers, be careful for online booking on the website
We had a very nice and clean campsite with a great shower. We also joined the lodge for one of the best dinners we have had in Namibia. Great place to stay in great location!
Very close to Etosha, we were in campsite but when I booked it was not very clear, doesn't matter ! In the morning you can have a coffee and enjoy the swimming pool. The location is well indicated on the side of the road but there is not adress for the GPS
stayed here for three days at the start of our holiday adventure and the bar was set very high with great standard of accommodation and all the staff most helpful. quirky walk down to breakfast from the cottages although you can go by golf buggy but a chance to soak up the atmosphere. Large rooms with lovely cozy log fire if needed and nearby to fantastic restaurants - try the Tokari for views and wine with fine food
Close to Etosha this family-run resort is good value for money, with friendly and attentive staff. Recommended as a good base from which to visit the game park,
Stayed with own (rented) tent on one of their camping places, but they have rooms and chalets too. Each rustic camping place has own toilet, sink, shower and kitchen area - not like UK campsites where everyone shares! Quiet, nicely run and good 3 course meal meals for 200 N$ (approx £10 UK) especially the braii (BBQ) night with lovely meat and lots of local accompaniments. Just 10 minutes drive from Etosha Anderson gate, so very useful if you cannot book in the NWR park itself.
Room was cold initially but that was fixed during our stay (too ventilated). No electrical mains but solar power for lighting and device charging. Warm water by "Donkey" worked well.
Sehr freundliches Personal, Campingplatz sehr gut gelegen in unmittelbarer Nähe vom Etosha NP.

caro, medio livello ma vicino all Etosha
We spent two separate nights at Mopane Village Lodge, first when heading and second when leaving Etosha national park. The lodge was a splendid place to stay at for self-catering group like ours. The tent spot was equipped with everything you van hope for (a shower, toilet, braai spot, sink to wash dishes in) and common spaces (restaurant) was a pleasant place to chill out with complimentary tea and coffee. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and even made sure that we got the same spot when coming back from Etosha. Would totally recommend!
