Attractions and Hotels Near Oki

If you've still got itchy feet, why not take off and discover more of the Fukuoka region? Lift your landscape photography game by visiting some of Fukuoka's gorgeous beaches, mountains, active volcanos and tablelands. Ruins and castles are a few more places worth pulling your camera out for. Also, take the opportunity to have a go at a few popular regional activities like mountain biking.

Don't blow through before you've checked out the Tabaruzaka Museum and Tabaruzaka Park in Tamana. The Satsuki Bessou and Tamana Onsen Hotel Shirasagi are a few of the hotel and apartment options here. Or, you could stay in Ureshino, 40 kilometres to the west of Oki, where you can choose from the Chagokoro no Yado Warakuen and Hana No Shizuku. The Shida-yaki Pottery Factory Museum and the Saga Prefectural Space & Sciense Museum are among the more popular sites to see while in Ureshino.

Kengun Shrine, Kenritsu Library and Aso Hakusui Onsen are just some of the cool visitor attractions in Kumamoto. This regional centre is 50 kilometres southeast of Oki and has a population of 700,000. Aso Uchinomaki Onsen and Izumi Shrine are a few more which are sure to offer up some choice photo ops. There's a wide selection of hotels in Kumamoto, with the Kikunan Onsen UBL Hotel and Hotel Nikko Kumamoto topping the list.

On the plane? Freaking out cos you haven't got a place to stay at the other end? Don't panic! Chances are you'll be able to score a room at the With The Style Fukuoka. It's not too far from Fukuoka Airport, which is 40 kilometres from Oki's centre.
