The hotel is located in the main square. Although it was in a good location, the sign of the hotel was on the roof top so difficult to find it. Wifi very fast. The breakfast provided in a cafe next to the hotel, only egg and bread, coffee or tea provided. The room cleaningless was OK. However, there were many flies in the hotel and there was no air-conditioner in the room. When I opened the windows, the flies came into my room. Water was hot but the water pressure suddenly became weak when I took the shower. There was no hair dryer in the room but could borrow from the staff. The blanket was heavy that I felt uncomfortable when sleeping. Staff couldn't speak English.
We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good & the owner was very helpful, even arranged a taxi back to Cusco for us.

Disliked: Staff & service
Comfortable, inexcpensive place to see Inca ruins
We arrived to find front door open; no one at desk but room keys easily available. Staff returned about 30 minutes later. Price was excellent as is location. Despite my comments I would definitely stay here again. Cash payment and I ran into something I saw several times in Peru when paying with dollars. They cannot take a bill with any tears no matter now small - even if you just got it from the ATM across the plaza. Plan accordingly and trade in bills at home or order new bills from you bank.
Pleasant enough accommodation at a reasonable price. Easy walking distance from the Station and the restaurants and shops. Ideal stopover for one or two nights to do Machu Picchu. Would recommend for Single or double occupancy. I have used this establishment twice now. Very satisfied.
I don't really know how this place is because the guy didn't even know I was coming. I had a reservation but they didn't have a room. He brought me to another hostel. They didn't have a room with the same specifications that I originally reserved, yet charged me the same price. So, just so you know, you may think your room is reserved, but when you deal with a place that doesn't even have a computer system to check reservations, you may be out of luck.
Really good little place right on the square. Big bed, hot shower and helpful staff they didn't service the room in the three nights we stayed but what could you expect for 20 bucks!! Brekky included
Nice stay, very convenient location, owner also owns a restaurant in the corner that offer delicious dishes at a food price compare to oyher restaurant in the surrounding.

Liked: Staff & service
Great location but needs renovation badly.
At this price point there are far nicer hotels, but maybe not at this great central location. Breakfast was in a nearby restaurant and was good. Hot water was iffy, only 1 outlet for charging devices, unpleasant lobby and "lounge." Dark and poorly attended by staff. BUT, when the owners are there they are nice and friendly AND helpful and speak English. I think it's new management. If they upgrade the aesthetics and add more guest-focused features this would be a good place, rather than just a convenient and safe place to crash.
We booked online to stay at Wayras Plaza, however, we received an email from the hotel stating there was an error and asked if we would be ok staying at Wayras Hostel for the same price. This worked out even better for us because Wayras Hostel is minutes from the train station to Machu Picchu and we were only staying in Ollantaytambo for that purpose (not really spending time in the town). The owners were incredibly kind and helpful- they packed us breakfast to go since we had an early train to catch and allowed us to leave our luggage with them while we went to MP. The room was basic, but clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend based on the excellent service alone!
