The nearby Ukiel Lake with the city beach and the well-developed infrastructure is also very suitable for fishing and sailing. Activities nearby: Olsztyn is an excellent starting point for a trip to Masuria. From here you can visit all the important sights as part of a day trip. There is a lot to see in Olsztyn, ranging from beautiful Wilhelminian style neighborhoods, to a number of magnificent churches scattered throughout the city; the Franciscan monastery, an observatory and a theatre. You can also discover the old town behind the High Gate with St. Jacob's Cathedral and the castle and its museum, which is well worth seeing.
