I can't fault L'Ajasserie - I visited last year under the previous owner and, if anything, it's improved already under its new owner and she's only just getting started. I felt completely welcome and catered for, and treated as an individual rather than a number on a balance-sheet. Top marks.
The owners of L'Ajasserie in Orcival are just wonderful! Claude and Rosi made our stay so pleasant and serve a wonderful dinner, Rosi's cuisine. Orcival is a lovely small town with an amazing Romanesque church, the prettiest wee saw. If you want an authentic Auvergne experience, not a cookie-cutter hotel experience, I would highly recommend L'Ajasserie d'Orcival. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Would love to return!
After a couple of months staying in various quirky medieval somewhat renovated lodgings this was a real delight - modern, clean and very comfortable. And the proprietors, couldn't meet nicer and helpful people, not to mention the authentic deli thay have downstairs. Highly recommended.
most friendly staff. welcoming and helpful. situation ideal in sleepy quiet village which has its own interesting Basilica and a excellent tourist information. the hotel breakfast is continental style and could have been a bit more copious. but it was free so wbo can complain!
