They charge a resort fee, which is buried in the fine print on Expedia and called a service fee. Let me tell you - this place is a motel with motel amenities. It is no resort. The only thing covered in the resort fee that I used was the parking, which they called "complimentary." Well, it isn't complimentary if they charge you a resort fee for it. The shower head did not work - water barely trickled out. The door had a gaping gap about a half-inch all around, plenty of room for nearly any bug to get through. Checkout is at 11 and at 10:50 a fellow was already knocking at the door (which had the do-not-disturb placard hanging) to run me out of the room. There are much better hotels in the area for about the same price, so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Shuttle bus to theme parks only take you to the park at half day so you would miss half a days worth of your ticket and it picks you back up before the park closes. Not worth it and it should not be advertised as an amenity. Sink water was absolutely disgusting, you could smell it! Breakfast has eggs (oily), waffles, potatoes (dry) and sausage and seating could only hold 10-15 people (already sitting) while there was a line of about 20 people to get breakfast. No elevators, if you have big bags you have to walk up to 3rd. Location feels in the middle of nowhere. Would not recommend at all.

The hotel is about a 30min drive to Universal Studios. There is a nearby Walmart and numerous food options. If you’re going to be at the parks everyday, this would be your best option for sleeping. The employees were very polite and professional. They serve breakfast in the morning, however, the dining area is a bit small so it’s quite a challenge to eat. Overall, great place to stay.

Pro: The staff is very supportive and will help you with questions you have for your hotel stay. Con: The hotel rooms are lack luster, differing from their online photos. We saw paint chips and peeling in the ceiling and on the walls. There is light peering around the hotel door which we noticed with the lights off. Also the main door and the bathroom door are not aligned correctily, so you have to push and pull firmer on the doors. Hotel rooms are cleaned every other day instead on a daily basis. The TV image is watchable, but during certain random times, the image becomes a little statically. I am not sure if it is their cable reception or just the tv itself. Lastly, the bathroom itself needed maintenance. There is no shower mat, so you have to brace yourself while showering. There is no interior shower curtain to keep the water in the shower (although the exterior curtain had magnets to keep itself to the shower tub). The toilet tissue holder is lop-sided and the toilet roll can slide off when getting a certain amount. The toilet seat was not fully secured to the toilet bowl. There were little black spots in the grouting. The shower head has water spots that hasn't been cleaned in our entire 3 night stay. All-in-all, this Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham in Kissimee looks like a remodeled motel. So, take this into consideration before booking.
