Take in the picturesque views and dive into all of the area's thrilling outdoor activities with your group of up to four at this cozy one-bedroom home at Cascade Head Ranch. A bright and inviting space that's been updated with modern conveniences, the perfect refuge at the end of a day of activity and a tranquil oasis. Tucked into the evergreen woodlands at the mouth of the Salmon River, where it empties into the Pacific Ocean, this home offers parking for up to two vehicles and plenty of nearby opportunities for play in the great outdoors. Admire the panoramic views and breathtaking coastline on a hike up the Cascade Head Trail, take advantage of fishing, crabbing, kayaking, canoeing or other boating activities in the beautiful Salmon River, or take in a scenic short drive south to reach Devils Lake for even more fishing, boating, and stand-up paddleboarding.

Boasting an open floor plan, the inspired interior is filled with contemporary furnishings, ocean-themed decor, and modern conveniences, including stainless steel kitchen appliances. Kick off your shoes to relax in the living area, where you'll find a comfortable sectional couch and gorgeous views of the river and ocean from oversized picture windows. Flip on the flatscreen TV to see whats on, or pull out one of the home's board games and enjoy some group bonding time.

When it's time to eat, savor grilled salmon fillets or other local fare whipped up in the full kitchen. Its updated appliances and ample countertops will assist in all of your cooking endeavors, and its assorted cookware makes the job quick and easy. Enjoy group meals at the nearby wooden table, or take your breakfast, lunch, or dinner onto the outdoor deck by the grill for its panoramic coastline views. There's even a huge Sitka spruce tree that grows through the deck, preserving the woodland aesthetic.

Rise with the morning sunshine over the gorgeous view of the river and ocean and get ready for a new day of adventures. Brew a fresh cup of coffee to shake off any lingering sleep, then take in all that Cascade Head Ranch has to offer, including perhaps a visit to the extremely isolated ocean beach at the mouth of the river that can be seen from the home, but can only be accessed by boat. Or, take an easy day trip into Lincoln City (10 miles south) for its restaurants, boutiques, and even live entertainment. Keep going south to find the charming Nye Beach neighborhood of Newport (34 miles south) with more shopping and dining options along its boardwalk, or head north on Highway 101 for a day in Pacific City (about 19 miles), where you can pick up a fresh microbrew paired with a delicious meal at the Pelican Pub & Brewery. Cascade Head Ranch is extremely well located to either stay close or venture out.

Excellent!
This adorable house was the perfect spot for my family (myself, husband, 13 year old daughter and 11year old son). It was cozy, well stocked, comfortable and clean. The view is beautiful and the elk and wildlife are a a treat! We wish we had been there longer and would love to return.

Beautiful ocean view in the forest
This a great LITTLE property. Wonderful, peaceful setting in the forest with an ocean view of Cascade Head. We saw the elk herd several times and a doe with twin fawns. It was quiet and peaceful with nearby hiking trails and a public boat launch where we put in our kayaks. However, the beds are incredibly uncomfortable and I had to try to sleep on a twin mattress on the floor for 3 nights. The mattress on the full sized bed is lumpy soft with no support. Upgrade the mattresses and you will have an unbeatable spot on the coast. Also be aware there is one bathroom only downstairs.

Getaway treehouse
This is easily in our top two places on the coast. I didn't know it was a nature reserve when I reserved it but we saw Elk, beautiful scenery, excellent hiking, comfortable seating and beds. Just remember to bring a kayak or paddle board so you can get to the secluded beach across the river.

Great little home in the woods
This little home has everything and was clearly built with love. The view is lovely and the home is cozy. Be sure to download the route on your map app as it is difficult to find offline. The only downside is navigating the stairs for middle of the night bathroom trips.

Quiet in nature and spacious views
Small and cozy, this is a perfect place for a writer's retreat or curled up with a good book in front of the fire, the views out over the ocean are enchanting and the deck is wonderful.

Beautiful place in a beautiful setting!
Though a bit challenging to find, especially in the dark, this place is well worth the hunt! We loved everything about this home. Note to yourself that there is no coffee, oil, or even salt and pepper provided, unless you got lucky and something was left behind by previous guests.

Paradise-like views!
This place is amazing. The view was spectacular and the amenities were great. It seems everything was thought out as there are plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, and etc. There was even laundry soap and fabric softener to wash laundry! More than enough room for our family of 3. Not to mention, the wildlife and close access to the Cascade Head Trail. We only needed to bring clothes and food and the rest was taken care of. We are already talking about going back!

Stunning, secluded location
We loved our stay here, and hope to come back. The location is so beautiful and private, but close enough to Lincoln City we didn't hesitate to go into town. Seeing and hearing the ocean so close was amazing! We used the BBQ and cooked a few meals with the basic kitchen equipment, and enjoyed eating on the deck.

Beautiful view, great house
We had a great time staying here, the view is amazing and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. Would be nice to have a larger bed, but we fit OK. Highly recommend this place to avoid the crowds and have a nice place to relax after a long day at the beach.
