My partner and kids were in the pool so I decided to order a cappuccino while I waited for them in the lobby area. I was told it was going to be a couple of minutes since the machine needed cleaning. No worries - I paid and waited for my cappuccino. The front desk started to get busy and the staff was attending to them- maybe 20 mins later - still no coffee, no apologies, no acknowledgement- nothing. My kids came out and I had to go up to my room to help them out of their wet clothing. I can back down and waited another 10 mins for my coffee only to received 1/2 cup full. The other half was filled with froth. The cup almost weight nothing. Totally not worth the almost $6 I paid and the front desk staff totally didn’t seem to care that I bought a coffee there vs Tim’s was just around the corner. No apologies- nothing.

The check-in experience was uncomfortable. I forgot my physical ID and suggested there should be a digital solution. Instead of offering assistance, the hotel manager insisted that a physical ID is required, stating, "I've been working in the hospitality industry for over 10 years," followed by a dismissive "I don’t know which world you live in." This approach affected my overall experience, and despite the long travel, she even attempted to upsell us memberships. The room service did not meet expectations. Upon returning, the bed was left unmade with a sign indicating it wasn't cleaned due to personal belongings. However, my snacks were missing. This was the first time at a 3-star hotel or motel where the room wasn't cleaned and items were lost. Many hotels even fold clothes and place them neatly on the bed. In addition, the cutlery at breakfast on both days was not properly washed. While the room facilities and layout were satisfactory, these experiences have led to questions regarding the quality and professionalism of the hotel’s management and staff. Oh, 3 days after our stay, a $24.99 was charged to our credit card. The hotel explained it was for watching TV, which did not occur. I requested to have the hotel manager look into it, and am still waiting for a resolution.

This hotel was better than I expected. Will definitely be staying at a Hyatt hotel again in the future! Although the elevator was broken to go down for our stay, the rest of the place looked immaculate; it was very clean and the room we stayed in was very spacious. The staff was very pleasant and informative about what they offered, the breakfast buffet was delicious and had some different options compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at (hard boiled eggs, oatmeal bar, and French toast!) Lastly checkout was very easy once I received my email online for express checkout!
