The B&B is easy to find, with ample parking. Instructions for getting in the front door (with a code) emailed ahead of time were fine, but once inside it wasn't clear what we were to do next. We had replied to the original message we received earlier that day which asked us to provide an ETA, and had estimated 7pm. We updated that as we were nearing Ottawa to 7:15pm, and yet there was nobody there to greet us. Neither the Expedia confirmation nor the message from the owner said which room was ours. After looking around trying to figure it out, the host's daughter appeared from a room at the back and showed us to our room. She was friendly and got us into our room but didn't provide much info - and the info she did give wasn't accurate. For example there turned out to be a sink inside the closet, and there were towels in the closet. However there was no soap. She told us that the light outside our window would go out at night, but it didn't. She told us that the air conditioning would come on later in the evening, but it didn't and it was very hot in the room. There was a thermostat on the wall downstairs which I checked, it said 73F, and it was noticeably hotter in the upstairs hallway and hotter still in our room - I estimated at least 76F. Breakfast is always scrambled eggs, with a few tiny pieces of sliced meat - maybe 1oz total. There is no wholewheat bread only white. There is peanut butter and strawberry jam packets, the latter is very old. The coffee was good.
