Overpriced for what you get
Overpriced for what you get. Rooms are very small and pokey, although clean, with no elevator if you have heavy luggage. Staff were not very friendly if you decided not to purchase the 10 pound per head breakfast. Hotel is next to a busy and noisy main road.

Pleasant stay.
Arrived mid afternoon and was welcomed by a couple of friendly staff. The Dining area was nicely set up and the place was nice and pleasant and clean. I then enquired about evening meal only to be told they did not do food except breakfast and there was no bar. This is not what is advertised on hotels.com so please be aware of this when booking. The bedroom was small but clean and pleasant with an average shower. There was plenty of tea/coffee facilities and water plus a fridge & microwave in the room. All the staff are very friendly. Private off street parking is also a good point and there are shops and restaurant's within a 5 min walk.

Nice room with all the useful things you'd expect and more (ensuite bathroom with shower, decaf coffee and tea - appreciated! As well as normal tea and coffee, milk, kettle, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. even a multi-adapter cable by the bed to charge your phone etc!) About 25 walk to the hospital, probably able to catch a bus there too. Short walk to food places including Co-Op and fast food. I tend to have a yearly appointment at the JR hospital - I'll probably book this place again for next year

Lovely stay, very welcoming
We stayed in the Monday night and Wednesday night as my husband had hospital appointments early in the morning. We were welcomed on each check in and felt very comfortable. The room was clean and had all of the amenities we needed. Parking was no issue and the guest house is a short walk from restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again.

Easy to find and close to where I needed to be. As a lone female I didn’t feel particularly welcome or safe which is important to me. Didn’t feel able to safely walk around the area. There were hairs in the shower and round the sink. The welcome by the member of staff was not very friendly they seemed more awkward. The parking was tight. The mirror was not in a helpful position or a helpful size if you want to stand up and look in it. To look in it you have to sit on the bed but you slide of the bed sheets so it’s really hard to do your hair. Nice modern bathroom but then written shampoo is black felt tip on toiletry containers. Also accessorised with cheap mirror and wardrobe in bedroom. Would have liked at extra blanket. Quilt was thin.

Very very disappointed
I booked in for 12 nights as a restaurant bar and garden were advertised Sadly none were available If I had know that before I booked I would have looked elsewhere. Feel I was deceived. The rooms are advertised as sound proof. Believe me. Number 7 isn’t. People above walking around at 6.30am. Door to car park slamming early morning. 3 days out of 12 I had no room service so no milk for my coffee There may be reasons for all of this but it should have been transparent on the description
